Restaurant Rush: Cook & Serve

Category

Description of App

Cook fast, serve happy guests and run a cozy restaurant that sounds as good as it looks. Restaurant Rush is a time-management cooking game that is fully playable with VoiceOver, so blind and sighted players can share the same kitchen. New: Burger Career, a 50-day diner story with Maya and her cat Holosko.

Orders pile up, guests get impatient, and you keep the kitchen running one shift at a time.

NEW: BURGER CAREER
• Run Maya's diner through a 50-day story. Each day brings a story scene with choices, a shift in the kitchen and a report.
• A hands-on kitchen: cook on the grill and toaster, build each burger on a plate and send it out. Patties warn you before they burn, wrong plates come back, guests can change their order, and wasted food costs you money.
• Burger Endless: keep the diner open as long as you can, choosing a card every few days that adds recipes, upgrades, staff or risks.
• Pace: pick Standard, Relaxed, Very relaxed or Custom. Guests wait longer; orders, money and cooking stay the same.
• The characters speak with voices made with artificial intelligence. The voices of the first 10 days come with the game in English and Turkish. The voices of the rest of the story (days 11 to 50 and Burger Endless) are an optional download of about 40 MB per language, in all ten languages. The game asks before it downloads, and works with text if you skip it.
• Guests can say their orders aloud, in English and Turkish, with the free Order voices setting.
• The first 10 days are free. Days 11 to 50 and Burger Endless unlock once for 2,000 Coins, which you can earn by playing or get in the shop. There are no ads in Burger Career.

PLAY YOUR WAY
• Run 5 restaurants, each with its own menu and levels. Start at Sip Stop and work your way up.
• Story levels for steady progress, or Endless Shift, where you pick draft cards to shape every run.
• Unlock recipes and kitchen upgrades with Dollars, and hire a waiter for the busy rushes.
• Finish daily goals and climb the leaderboards.
• How to Play and Practice teach the modes, pace and combos, with a practice shift where nobody leaves.

MADE TO BE HEARD
• Fully playable with VoiceOver. Tables, the tray and the door queue are VoiceOver buttons, and the game announces new guests, orders and warnings.
• Choose how much the game says: Full, Balanced or Sounds first.
• Realistic kitchen and customer sounds: the door, footsteps, chairs, pouring and cooking.
• Accessible play with pace choices, so anyone can play at their own speed.
• Left-handed layout. No account is needed to play.
• Accessibility features are never behind a purchase.

MAKE IT YOURS
• Restaurant Studio: decorate with themes, wall decorations, counters and tables.
• Spend Coins on chef outfits, music, soundscapes and accessories for the cats.
• Two cats, Holosko and Sabri, live in your restaurant. Pet them to calm impatient guests.

GOOD TO KNOW
Restaurant Rush is free to download. In-app purchases are optional: Coin packs and a Starter Bundle that removes ads. Burger Career days 11 to 50 and Burger Endless need the one-time unlock with Coins. The main game shows occasional ads between shifts, never during one, plus optional rewarded ads; Burger Career shows none. Available in 10 languages.

Tie your apron and open the doors. Your first guests are already waiting.

Accessibility Comments

I've tested the game and can definitely say that you will have a great time! When you launch the game for the first time it will already detect Voiceover running and suggest a few recommended settings for you to get started. It will change the pace to relaxed so that you will have some more time to react to the orders, but this isn't an easy game. you will feel the pressure to cook and serve everything as fast as possible. The sound effects tell you when an item finished cooking, if you play with headphones you can even feel directly on the stereo field where you should deliver it. But there are announcements for everything. The accessibility actions allow you to repeat the whole order, you can even change the pace to very relaxed if you still feel that it's too hard, since the customers lose patience and leave if you don't deliver the orders fast enough.
This innovative game is from the same awesome developer that released Pegfall, so if you already played that game, you know that you will be impressed with the high quality, features and customization options!

VoiceOver Performance

VoiceOver reads all page elements.

Button Labeling

All buttons are clearly labeled.

Usability

The app is fully accessible with VoiceOver and is easy to navigate and use.

Other Comments

The game has music, sound effects and haptic feedback. I really recommend it! It's the best accessible game of the genre by far!

Hi Paige,

Both suggestions make a lot of sense. A place where players can listen to each game sound individually and hear an explanation of what it means would become especially useful as the game’s audio continues to grow.

Reading the table’s status — waiting, preparing or ready — before the full order could also make scanning the tables much faster during a busy shift. I’ve saved both ideas, including the possibility of letting players choose which information VoiceOver announces first.

I do need to ask for a little patience, because I’m currently very focused on version 2.3 and the workload in my development kitchen has increased dramatically. 😂 Please keep reporting anything confusing and sharing the parts you would like improved. I read everything here and keep notes, even when I can’t implement something immediately.

Since your comment is about audio, you get the first small 2.3 clue: I’m currently working on giving more customers their own voices.

That is all I’m revealing today. I need to save the other clues for future comments. 😂

Thank you again, Paige — and please keep your kitchen safe while I work on 2.3. 😊

Hi Ornella,

I love these ideas. Breakfast, lunch and dinner rushes could give shifts very different personalities, while a buffet restaurant could create a completely different style of gameplay based on preparing serving stations and responding to demand.

Your example about receiving a four-course meal with only two tray slots also shows why this would need careful balancing. It could make a great challenge in a mode designed around it, but I wouldn’t want early progression to feel unfair. I’ve saved all of these ideas for the future.

Thank you for offering to help find sounds too. Freesound can be useful, although I need to check the licence, recording quality and whether each sound stays clear alongside VoiceOver. If you find something particularly good, you’re always welcome to send me the link.

For now, I need to ask for a little time because I’m working very intensely on version 2.3. Please keep sending suggestions, problems and anything you want improved. I read everything posted here and keep notes, even if I can’t add an idea immediately.

Since your suggestion is about preparing and serving food in new ways, you get a different 2.3 clue: I’m working on a new mode where players will prepare the food themselves.

I’m not revealing what you’ll be cooking yet. That clue belongs to someone else. 😂

And please remember to eat even when Restaurant Rush is busy. The virtual customers should not have lunch before you do. 😊

Is there a way that you can set the game to reject visual ads altogether? If the ad's "close" button is not displayed, the ad should be rejected automatically. This is just a thought. I don't appreciate any ads in any games that are only visual.

Yes, I’m actually working on this area right now.

The difficult part is that the ad itself is provided by the ad network, so I cannot fully control every visual element inside it. But I am testing ways to detect problematic ad flows more safely and to avoid leaving VoiceOver users stuck when a close control is not accessible.

You will probably be among the people who notice the results first in version 2.3. I do not want to promise a perfect solution before testing it properly, but this is absolutely one of the accessibility issues I am actively working on.

And since I keep giving away tiny 2.3 hints here, here is another one: the new Career content is not just a collection of levels. Your decisions across the run will actually shape how the story ends.

There are several possible endings, and Maya may have very different things to say about the restaurant you built by the end. :)

I haven’t read any of the comments yet, what has been happening? I haven’t been in here for a little bit. Maybe I need to play the game more lol

You picked a very good time to come back. :)

A few things have been happening. I have been working heavily on version 2.3, especially accessibility, new customer voices, and a completely new Career mode where you will actually prepare the food yourself.

And yes, there is a real story this time. Your decisions during the Career can affect how things turn out, so not everyone will necessarily reach the same ending.

Since you asked what you missed, here is one more little hint: the first ten in-game days of the new Career will be free to try. After that, the full Career is planned to unlock for 2,000 Coins.

I also want Coins to become more meaningful to earn through gameplay in 2.3, so I am working on that side of the game too.

Maybe you do need to play a little more after all. :)

We actually get to make the food? No way. looks like our idea made it in lol. I'm super excited for this

Haha, yes, the food part made it in. :)

And since you are excited, here is one more small hint for 2.3.

I am also working on a weekly league system. Instead of everyone competing in one huge global ranking, players will compete in smaller groups.

Depending on how you perform, you will be able to move up or down between leagues and earn Coins through gameplay.

I am still balancing the exact league structure and rewards, so I do not want to promise specific numbers yet.

But the idea is simple: playing regularly should finally make earning Coins feel much more meaningful. :)

Hi everyone,

Restaurant Rush 2.3 is out. The big new thing is Burger Career: a 50-day story where you run Maya's diner with her cat Holosko, playing by touch or with VoiceOver. The first 10 days are free. The characters speak with AI-made voices, and the game says so.

Next Monday (Oct 12), weekly leagues begin. Your Relaxed Endless runs count toward Bronze to Diamond leagues. Reach 10 shifts in a week and the best players move up. You need to be signed in.

If you've tried Burger Career, I'd really love to hear what you think: what felt good, what was confusing, and how it works with VoiceOver. Every comment shapes the next update. Thank you all!

Hi there. Under the daily goals section, I've noticed something about completing a boss shift. How do you get a boss shift?

By birkinapps on Thursday, October 8, 2026 - 04:36

In reply to by treky fan

Hi, and thanks for asking! Boss shifts happen in Endless mode: every 10th shift (shift 10, 20, 30, and so on) is a boss shift. The game warns you with "Boss shift incoming" and a boss guest arrives. Finish that shift successfully and the daily goal "Beat 1 boss shift today" counts. I'll make this clearer in the goal's text in a future update. Enjoy!

So do you only appear on the leaderboard after ending an endless run?

By birkinapps on Thursday, October 8, 2026 - 14:03

In reply to by Paige

Hi Paige! You don't have to end the whole run. In Endless mode your score so far is sent at the end of every shift, so you appear on the leaderboard as soon as you finish a shift, and it keeps your best. Only Endless counts, and a run counts on the day, week and month it started in. From Monday, Oct 12 weekly leagues start (Bronze to Diamond, for Relaxed runs), so you'll compete with players at your own level. Thanks for asking!

In reply to by birkinapps

Oh, I think I understand. So is being on the leaderboard the main advantage for starting a fresh run? Or are there any bonuses to help you come back faster each time.

By birkinapps on Thursday, October 8, 2026 - 14:52

In reply to by Paige

Good question! The leaderboard is one reason, but not the only one. Some things carry over from run to run: your chef level and XP keep growing with every shift you finish, and the Dollars you earn stay with you to buy kitchen upgrades. A fresh run also gives you new card choices as you go (every 5 shifts), plus the daily and weekly goals, like beating a boss shift (every 10th shift). From Monday, weekly leagues start. I plan to reward league placements with Coins soon, and Coins can buy things like Burger Career's later days, in-game music and outfits. I'll make all of this clearer in the game. By the way, have you tried the new Burger Career mode yet? I'd really love to hear what you think. Thanks for the question, it helps a lot!

By Paige on Thursday, October 8, 2026 - 16:09

In reply to by birkinapps

That makes sense. But I'm still a bit confused about the advantage to starting a fresh endless run, versus just continuing to do shifts on the same endless run forever, because I can still accumulate dollars, cards, and boss shifts, but the challenge is also increasing, and the money I make per shift is increasing as well, whereas starting fresh puts me back at square one. Also, I am really enjoying the career mode, the interactive cooking is implemented really well in my opinion.

Thank you so much, I'm really happy you're enjoying Career! And you've found something real: right now, continuing a strong run is often better than starting over, because your income grows with the difficulty. The main reasons to start fresh are the leaderboard and leagues (a run only counts for the day, week and month it started in) and getting back to the early, relaxed shifts. I think you're right that this needs a better answer, and I'll look at how a fresh run could feel more rewarding. Thanks for such a thoughtful question!
