Progress Bars Not Being Announced

Hello everyone. I have noticed that, when downloading various things, the progress bars are not announced at all. I have these set to "Tone" in the VoiceOver Utility on my Mid-2013 MBA, but still nothing. I got the same result when I set it to speak as well. When downloading podcast episodes to listen to, iTunes automatically opens up after a few minutes but aren't other progress bars supposed to be announced? This has particularly been an issue for me within the last couple of days, since I just started downloading material again from the BARD website. I can't tell when a book or other material is done downloading, so that I can transfer it to my thumb drive to listen to on my DTBM. Just this morning I almost ejected the thumb drive from my Mac before everything was done transferring. Has anyone else been experiencing this?

It doesn't work how you think

Unfortunately, this setting doesn't behave how NVDA does on Windows. What it controls is what happens if you put the VO cursor on a progress bar and it updates. If you set it to play tone, then as long as you're sitting on that progress bar you will get a click whenever it goes up.

Hello. This has been a slight bug since snl. What you need to do is get to the click, and then hot vo f3 to hear what is there.

I hope that helps.
