Hi. Since upgrading to IOS8 I am experiencing severe and frequent buffering using an IPhone 5S with IOS8 to stream Shoutcast mp3 and WMA radio streams through my home broadband router over Wifi. It sounds very specific and it is. The exact same streams are working fine on my computer and non-IOS devices. The same streams are working fine on IOS over 3G. BBC IPlayer Radio and TV apps on IOS are working fine on Wifi and 3G. However, as soon as I connect to my home wifi I generally find that no mp3 shoutcast stream (tried at least five or six straems with different radio stations on different servers) will play continuously in any app or even in Safari for more than a few minutes and most of the time they won't play for more than a few seconds before buffering and eventually stopping. Wifi signal as displayed on the phone is solid throughout. Upgraded to IOS 8.0.2 yesterday and it still doesn't work. I have tried all available resets including resetting the router, changing the wireless channel and restoring the phone, but it hasn't made any difference. The behaviour is exactly the same on my partner's IPhone, also a 5S with IOS8. I am inclined to think this is an IOS issue rather than a router issue but would have expected this to be more widely reported if this were the case. Does this sound familiar to anyone?
Thanks
James

I am having the same issue
Yes, all streaming, downloading etc has gone intermittant on my 5s. It has been widely noted and discussed in varrious forms all over the web. Unfortunately, it does appear to be a 5s problem. Best to let apple know if you can.
Lets hope they fix this one soon.
