Hi All, find below Apple's reply to WhatsApp bug
"Thank you for your email. Apple relies on each application developer to properly implement the necessary components into their applications that allow VoiceOver to work correctly. We recommend that you contact the app developer directly to provide them feedback on the features you are finding do not work. Customer feedback directly to the developer helps them to improve performance and compatibility."
So looks as if Apple is throwing ball in WhatsApp's court. Hence, everyone facing the issue, please report. After all, numbers do matter.

Which bug do you mean?
Which bug do you mean? Is it the one that causes focus to randomly return to the home screen after updating to iOS 8? If so, I have heard that non-VoiceOver users are experiencing the same issue.
Not Apple's Problem
With all due respect, what were you expecting Apple to say? Apple isn't responsible for the performance of third-party apps with VoiceOver--nor should they be.
I don't think this is Apple's
I don't think this is Apple's fault.
The App team must be doing * or more likely not doing * something.
I suspect that talking to the App developper will be more efective.
Thanks,
Marlon
3rd party app bugs are the developer's responsibility
Seriously, what did you expect from Apple? Their customer service is awesome (in my experience), but even they can't fix a broken app made by a 3rd party developer. They can only fix the apps they develop, like those that are part of iOS and OS X. To expect anything else is unreasonable and unrealistic. If an app has a bug, it's the developer's responsibility to fix it, not Apple's, and if the developer discovers an API bug that impacts an app's accessibility, it's the developer's responsibility to report the API bug to Apple, not yours.
whatsapp update
With the new whatsapp update the bug where the application would crush seems to have gone. Only tested it for today but found it much better now.
