Can’t help but wonder if this is related to the bug which causes the VoiceOver cursor itself to occasionally disappear visually: http://www.applevis.com/bugs/ios/voiceover-cursor-will-occasionally-disappear-or-become-very-large
Would be curious to know if this can be confirmed by one of our low vision users the next time that the cursor disappears for them.
Alert sound
On my iPhone 5, the alert sound does not play at times. I have to reenable voiceOver to get this working again. Noticeable since iOS 8.1.
Only for a second or so...
I've never had it stay around for more than a few seconds. If I just leave the phone be for maybe a count of five, VoiceOver sounds are right back with me.
Problem occurs on iPhone 5S too
Hi, I'm experiencing the problem as it is described in your bugs database on my iPhone 5s... The only workaround I found is to stop and restart VO. I'm using iOS 8.3.
iPhone 6, too.
I experience the bug most days on my iPhone 6, but restarting VoiceOver fixes it.
This can happen where some sounds stop working and some keep working. It happens with different sounds every time, but many times it's the metallic beep sound VO makes when you're moving over nothing on the screen, that goes away.
iPhone 6S too
Hi, I have an iPhone 6S with iOS 9.0.2. I also experience this sound issue sometimes. I also have to turn off VoiceOver and turn it on again to make the sounds work normally.
on iPhone 6
This would occur on my iPhone 6 though I noticed it more since IOS 9.
(FYI: I use the past tense because I no longer have a 6; it fell down the loo).
Getting an iPhone 6S today; yay.)
