How to format text in ms word for IOS

Hi,
School is starting back up for me tomorrow, and I have a question about formating text in word for the iPhone. How do you select text so I can change the font, make the text bold, etc for the selected text? I will be using my phone and a bluetooth keyboard for school, so keyboard commands would be very helpful.
