Apple Beta Releases

Hello everyone, I know we are not allowed to talk about beta versions. But I think this can be discussed.

I have a doubt which is not related entirely with beta versions. My doubt is, whether IOS9beta people cannot be updated to the latest firmware released today?

I got my iPhone5S and installed IOS9.1 beta. But it is telling that my software is up to date. Wonder I have to stick on with the beta forever?

Awaiting for the expert's replies.

Raaj.

Share Your Bug Reports with AppleVis

If you experience a bug in Apple Beta Software, the most important thing you can do is to file a report in Feedback Assistant. Please do not assume that Apple is already aware of a bug or that your report won't make a difference; your report may provide crucial information, and submitting bug reports directly to Apple helps them reproduce and resolve the issue faster. The more reports they receive, the higher the priority Apple is likely to give to fixing the bug.

If you are using beta software, please use the Feedback Assistant on your device to submit feedback and bug reports. If you are using a public release, this blog post explains how to report the issue and what information to include.

In 2025, AppleVis launched the Community Bug Reporting Program with the goal of improving the quality and quantity of information we share with the community about bugs in Apple software releases. If you would like to contribute to this effort, please submit your reports via our Community Bug Report Form.

All reports shared with AppleVis must first be filed with Apple via Feedback Assistant. More information about the Community Bug Program is available here.

The only way to go back to the public release in this case is to restore to a backup before you installed the beta profile. For example, if your 5s came with IOS 8 and you made an iCloud backup before installing the public beta, you'll need to:
1. go to settings, iCloud, and turn off find my iPhone.
2. connect your phone to your computer.
3. hold down home and power for about 10 to 12 seconds until you hear the disconnect and connect sound, and iTunes should come up letting you know your phone is in recovery mode.
4. press the restore button in iTunes
5. The file should download, and after it's done your phone should reboot.
6. press the home button once, wait a couple of seconds, then click the home button 3 times quickly, and voiceover should come on.
7. Choose your language and country, enable location services, and join your wifi network.
8. You will be prompted to setup as new, restore from itunes backup or iCloud backup. If you made a backup to iTunes or iCloud, you will either have to continue in iTunes on your computer or, after choosing restore from iCloud, sign in with your id and password, and choose the backup mad at the time before you installed the beta.

I hope I'm not overstepping any lines here, but I had the exact same issues and had to do it through trial and error myself. Let me know if you need more explanation of any of the steps, I'm not sure how familiar you are with the process.

Thank you very much for your reply.

I'll do that when I'm free for 2 hours at least. I think it will take two hours for this process.
