I can't enter alphanumeric passwords with numbers on the lock screen using the on-screen Braille keyboard. For example, if the passcode were abc123, I use to type abc#123. Now, I immediately get a wrong passcode attempt when I type the # sign. This doesn't seem to happen anywhere else. Is there some setting I can change to fix this, or do I just change my password?

Did your braille code change?
I'd suggest looking in VoiceOver's settings under Braille to be sure your code is the same. It sounds like you're using a code different from what you're used to. Alternatively, check that you're in uncontracted by doing a three-finger swipe right or left while in braille screen input mode. Uncontracted may work better here, as it does for entering most passwords, at least in my experience.
No, unfortunately not.
Thanks. When entering the passcode on the lock screen, input seems to be locked to six dot. I tried changing from U.S. to UEB translation, but this doesn't get around the problem of having to enter a number sign.
After More Testing
I think that the Braille keyboard can enter passwords longer than four characters only if the password type is custom numeric. If the password type is set to custom alphanumeric, entering more than four characters immediately returns a "wrong password."
I too have had this problem
Hello, I have actually written to Apple about this problem when iOS 9.0 came out, since the last two updates, they have not fix this issue, although they did say they were aware of it, and we're going to be fixing it. I also had a long alphanumeric passcode. I just decided to get a new phone with a fingerprint reader. I took care of that issue! But seriously, this is an issue that will be fixed hopefully in a soon update. I don't know whether it's that the pass code is not being seen by the braille input keyboard, or it is just not treating it like we are putting in the letter. Hopefully it will get resolved however, although I have noticed, if you going to passcode settings, you can enter your passcode using the braille screen input, so it is only on the lock screen.
