Purify v. Peace
How does this compare to Peace, the one you did a podcast on earlier? Thanks.
Rest in Peace
Hello sockhopsinger,
Sadly, the developer had a change of heart about the Peace app and it was removed permantely from the Apple AppStore. It is now forever gone and will never be coming back. Oddly, I have never seen anybody do this before where they had released it and got rave reviews to only retract in what he made.
So with that. I had tried the Purify bealong with Peace when I was testing the different blockers. This was a close second. Which in turn is the top choice for me. Although, there were some really good features with in Peace but this was the next best thing that was a better fit. It also has recieved really good ratings by many sources as being the best.
Why does this only work with the IPhone?
Ok. Why not make two versions of the app? One version for the iPod touch, and another for the iPhone? I wanted to get this and support the developer and unfortunately, it's not compatible.
Question
@themusicman08 did you update your iPod Touch to iOS9? I don't actually have an iPod, so I am only assuming this is possible. If not, there's your answer as I imagine this is probably only compatible with iOS9 since it is the first OS, to my knowledge, to support ad blocking software.
@AnonyMouse, that is a pity to hear about the Peace ad blocker. Very strange, as you said.

Thank you for using Purify!
If you're enjoying Purify, please don't forget to leave a rating here on the App Store! It helps immensely. In this update:
* Improved block list — even better page load performance, and improved experience on several websites.
* Refined tutorial videos.
* Fix crash that occurred in some circumstances when editing the whitelist.
We appreciate all your reports — they're a crucial component of refining Purify! Keep enjoying the #PurifyEffect.
purify
Just got it yesterday. So far works well.
Voiceover sluggishness
I noticed that when I had Purify block fonts, Voiceover became sluggish. Blocking other things seem to be fine. They don't affect Voiceover.
Cautious
I haven't upgraded to iOS 9 yet but, nice as something like Purify might seem, I'd worry that since I don't know its algorithms for blocking things, I might be inadvertently missing something I'd like to see. I'm wary of *all* programs/apps that do my thinking for me and do not allow me to customize filtering.
Not saying anyone else is wrong; just wondering.
My understanding
My understanding is that you can make it so it doesn't block certain websites.
podcast
Suggest for those who are concern check the podcast on purify.
App for blocking ads in apps
Have apps for blocking ads in safari and web browsers, but is there anything similar that will block ads in apps as well?
Purify Blocker is temporarily reduced in price
Due to the advent of the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus, Purify is currently reduced to $0.99. If you are on the fence or haven't gotten it yet, now is the time.

I'm just letting people know
I'm just letting people know the sale for the app is expired. I'll still get the app though. I don't often go in to safari but the times I do I think this will help.
To add to that is the app
To add to that is the app down. I'm getting this.
The URL “http://a1089.phobos.apple.com/us/r30/Purple6/v4/19/78/da/1978da49-e558-fa56-c8d4-6ee2350cd1cc/pre-thinned2716257672427838310.lc.3871680027113764.VGPBYTEAXMOOU.signed.dpkg.ipa” could not be found on the server.
The download buttin is now dimmed though so I'm confused.
I think the app was upll\ed
I just tried again. I bought the app and think it was pulled. I got this.
There was a problem downloading “Purify Blocker: No Ads. No Tracking. Lightning-Fast Safari.”.
Then the ok button. Can someone else from the us confirm this? If so I just waisted $1.99.
Stoll Available
That is odd. I can say for sure it is still available in the AppStore and the link above in the App Entry still works just fine as of today and in the States.
Yeah that's the odd thing. It
Yeah that's the odd thing. It appears you can purchase it but it won't download. The sale also expired but I think I pointed that out. I mean can someone verify who has not bought the app yet if it can be downloaded? That's where the problem lays.. I would not know why the app dead links like that.
Update. I just contacted the developer, so we'll see if there are any fixes to this issue.
Here's the odd thing. The mac
Here's the odd thing. The mac kept failing all day yesterday at the download with that error. The odd thign is this. I managed to download fine using ios. I cannot and will not try and explain that one but I now have it set up and enabled. We'll see if it makes my browsing experience faster in safari.
