Picture-in-picture

I'm wondering if anyone has had experience using picture-in-picture on an iPad or iPad mini? I was hoping that I would be able to watch a video while working in other apps. However, this doesn't seem possible. If I bring up a video on the web, then switch to another app, I lose the sound of the video. I'm not sure if the picture is there or not because I am totally blind. Does picture-in-picture only show the video and not the sound? If this is the case, it is very disappointing. I hope I am just doing something wrong. Any responses would be appreciated.

What is your iPad model? If you don't have a 64 bit iPad, this won't work according to Apple.

I tried it on my iPad mini 2 and on a friend's iPad mini ##4. It is supposed to work on both of these models.

Hi guys.
The ipad mini 2 and mini4 work just fine, the problem is the app has to support this feature.
The only apps that work for me are amazon video and the videos app.
Netflix doesn't support picture on picture yet.
Good luck and hope this helps.

According to Google I should be able to use picture-in-picture using Safari. I have tried that with several YouTube videos and couldn't get it to work.

I have PIP mode worked on my iPad Air. Have you tried restart your iPad mini to see if the problem solved?

Have you used pip in Safari, or did you use some other method? Did you get the audio of the video as well? I have restarted the mini.
