While I'm not aware of a VO-specific tutorial, I've found that between all of the built-in keyboard commands, I've never really needed one. You can find these commands, as well as specific tutorials for accomplishing particular tasks, via Audacity's very thorough online manual. Just google "List of Audacity keyboard commands" for the shortcuts; and googling any specific task you're looking for may very well bring you to a manual page on that task.
But if there's anything specific you'd like to know, I may be able to help you out. Just let me know, and I'd be happy to share anything I've gleaned from my experience.
I have discovered that newer versions of audacity seen to be very inaccessible and am trying to determine what is the last version accessible but nobody replied in the audacity list. Do you know what version is ideal for use?
Hi split
I believe the laters audacity version is 2.1.5 and include some issues to work using voiceOver but not impossible to work.
the link below is the
audacity version 2.05
according to many blind guys who use audacity to edit audio this is the most compatible version using voiceOver.
I took the link from a Spanish web page
right here the link http://www.lacavernadeltopo.cl/Descargas/mac/audacity-macosx-ub-2.0.5.dmg
however if you don't feel comfortable to download directly from the link who I provide
I suggest download from
sourceforge.net
this is the better web to download and avoid to get it from other page cause the software will include some extra softwares
goodluck.
I have a version of Audacity 2.1.1 that's supposed to be accessible with VO. I do have one question for anyone who's still here, on Windows I used to be able to skip around in the file while it was playing and this was very useful. Does this work in VO? Thanks.
