I was testing out Fleksy again the other day. It seems to be more accessible as time goes on.
The problem I had, however, was that I found it nearly impossible to switch back from the Fleksy keyboard to the standard Apple U.S. keyboard. I tried for many minutes and couldn't figure out how to change the keyboard with VoiceOver running. It was easy enough to switch from the U.S. keyboard to Fleksy, but I couldn't switch back again.
Finally I gave my phone to a sighted person and turned off VoiceOver and they managed to switch from the Fleksy keyboard back to the U.S. keyboard.
Does anyone know what the trick is? Is there an easy way to switch out of the Fleksy keyboard?
Thanks for any suggestions.

The one way I know of
For this to work, you need to have the space bar showing, which you can toggle either with a gesture or in flex's settings.
Bring up the keyboard anywhere, then put your finger down at the bottom middle of the screen and hold it down. This should make Flexy work just like touch typing, so you will hear the key you're on as you slide your finger between them. There should be a key to switch keyboards to the left of the space bar, so you just find it and lift your finger.
Re: The one way I know of
Thanks for your suggestion on trying to switch from using the Fleksy keyboard back to using the Apple keyboard.
I did as you suggested, i.e.:
1. Make sure the spacebar is showing on the Fleksy keyboard
2. Move to the left of the keyboard to find a key that enables you to switch keyboards.
Actually, to the left of the spacebar I see two items on the Fleksy keyboard. They are:
1. "Switch to Emoji" (which simply brings up a bunch of emoji symbols), and
2. Another key which says "Switch to numbers" or "switch to letters". This simply toggles between having a keyboard with letters or a keyboard with numbers, but they are both Fleksy keyboards.
I don't see any other button or element to switch back to the Apple keyboard or another keyboard. I've been playing around with this for about a half an our now and have never succeeded switching out of the Fleksy keyboard without sighted assistance.
I won't use this Fleksy keyboard if I can't switch out of it!
Any other suggestions?

Switching from Fleksy to Apple Keyboard
Hi Pete
I'm having the same issue as you - just can't find any button to switch keyboards. It's very annoying.
Have you found a solution?
Please share if you know the answer.
Setting the speaker for voice output
I struggle to hear my iPhone when I'm in a noisy area andneed to hold the speaker right next to my ear. This is quite awkward as voice output is form the speakers closest to the home key (i.e. at the bottomof the phone).
I think it would make things easier if voice output could be from the top speaker (the one you put against your ear when taking a call).
does anyone know if there's a way to receive voice output form the top speaker of the iPhone?
Re Switching from Fleksy to Apple Keyboard
Hi, I have figured out how to make switching from Fleksy to the standard iOS keyboard easier. You have to change the function of the magic button.
You have to do the following:
Open the Fleksy app
Find the more button, it is near the top right of the screen.
Then Settings.
Go to advance settings.
Magic button, then select switch keyboard.
The switch keyboard button should now appear to the left of the spacebar.
Hope this helps
Hi peter,
Hi peter,
I totally agree with you that Fleksy isn't really accessible, but if you hold down the space key and move to the left, you will see a button to switch to Emoji, right? So when you do that, find the space key again and go to the left so you can switch back to the regular keyboard.
