Say Goodbye to Solara from the iOS App Store

Hi,
I'm sad to say, I tried searching for Solara today to redownload it, and to my surprise it was not there. I went on the Safari app and clicked the app store link and it said the item wasn't available in the U.S. store.
I also checked the Purchases Tab but didn't see it either. Looks like the best game ever has been removed from the app store and now I'm sad. I always spent most of my time on Solara, but now that it is gone, my games category won't be as fun as when Solara is in the category.
I guess all we have now is to stick with Lords and Knights and Star Traders, at least Star Traders is fun too.
So long comment short, do you still see Solara in your app store? Or is it just my iPad Mini going
monkey crazy?

I guess, for those who loved the game. It ws a bit fun for a while, but it got boring; boring where I couldn't finiszh it. I tried to hang till the end, but couldn't.

This totally sounds out of reach, but maybe one of us can take the host server over and put the app back in the store, for those who want to keep playing they can donate. It sounded like fun.

Well, I guess I will never reach level 50, looks like I have to stop at level 34.

Welp, w knew this day was coming. I'm one of those who has played the game off and on over the past 3/2 years or so, and have reached level 50. This game was a blast to play, however I understand the whole concept of not having enough money from donations for ester and whatnot to keep there company going. Unfortunate, I know, but these sorts of things happen. Personally once you reached level 50, the game got quite boring to me.

I haven't checked the app store, but when I opened the app on my phone yesterday, nothing happened. I gave it at least 5 minutes, double-tapping the screen from time to time to see if anything would happen, but nothing ever did. It looks like Solara is gone. I reluctantly deleted it from my IPhone. Solara was one of the first apps I got when I purchased my IPhone in October of 2013, so it will always hold a special place in my heart. Also, I put a lot of time, effort and real money into building up the perfect castle. I remember kind-a driving my best friend nuts because re-arranging shops wasn't always as VO friendly as I would have liked, so she'd help me get everything rearranged for maximum space. So, I guess my level 50 heros have fought their final battle, and Castle Mitmee is no more. I haven't found any other similar games that are half as fun as Solara was, so now I mostly play diceWorld, Hanging with Friends, etc. Maybe someday, another game that has the same fun factor as Solara will come along, but at least for me, nothing will ever truly replace it.

It appears that Solara is still functional. I was able to successfully build shops, tower upgrades and fight quests. And the servers were supposed to be down by now.

I think that is because you haven't deleted it yet. Once you delete it, you can't get it back.

Regardless of whether the app could potentially be retrieved after deletion from an iDevice, the app relies on a constant connection with the Internet in order to function. This connection is still active in my case.

still works fine here as well. I tried it the other day and it worked fine on my end also.

That is kind of strange, because when Solara got deleted it still worked fine, that is until I had to erase my device because of bugs.

Hey, anyone know how to contact the developer, or have contacted the solara developer, to see if they would let someone else host the server so we all can keep playing. I'm not sure how to do hosting myself or I'd be willing to do it myself. Has anyone asked or is anyone willing to ask/host if we can get permission as this game is great and should not be lost. If no one wants to ask, I'd be willing to ask if someone can send me the info and then explain how you host a server, especially for apps on mobile devices. As for the game itself, was working just fine for me even after I came across this post about it leaving.

Okay, thanks for that and I'm going to see what the developer says and see what is involved in hosting for the server.

Boo - though I kind of fogured that was coming, as it seemed to have stopped development long ago. I kept checking in on it, though and still have it installed on my phone. I'd been having an issue for the longest time where I couldn't collect gold from my shops, though - I take it that isn't an issue for the rest of you? I had been getting into it several months back and after an update on my iPhone, the button to collect stopped working.

Have you tried double tapping and holding on the button?
