I had an Idea to try to make card-io accessible. This is a library used in many apps to give an option to scan your credit card instead of entering in the numbers manually.
The issue is you still need to enter the 3 digit CCV number at the back of the card. So its does not save you much time.
How do people normally enter credit card details in apps? Memorise the digits and enter them manually? Copy and paste from somewhere? Is it normally a pain point? Would scan your card be useful?
The idea was to read out instructions to help you line up the rectangle so that the card scans. (e.g. 'Move left', 'Move down', 'Zoom in', ...) I tried it using a blindfold and someone telling me the instructions manaully and it took about 20-30 seconds to do it.

Memorize
Hi, I memorize all my card numbers. It would be nice to be able to scan, but without the CVV (or CCID for AmEx) it really doesn't help as much as it otherwise could. If you could implement scanning of these numbers it would be very helpful, but I'd bet that goes against App Store guidelines.
card.io accessibility
I think this is a great idea. I don't think you would make a bunch of money with a stand alone app, but I would love to see the work sent back to the card.io people so apps like uber that scan your card can benefit. The hardest problem your going to have is some sort of spoken feedback while trying to lign up the card. I know its doable because it works with apple pay, but I have never gotten any apps that use the card.io api to work.
Don't trust my card on the iPhone
Hi I don't trust my card info being on my iPhone I linked my Itunes with Pay Pal. Other cards though like rewards cards I think the wallet can do its just tricky figuring out where to scan.
I memorize the card info and
I memorize the card info and write a note with the info on my phone.
