A strange issue with the facebook messenger app

Hi. Yesterday I tryed to use that app but I encountered a strange problem. When a friend send me a message I don't receive any notifications. No sound, no anouncement, nothing. I have turned on the notifications from the settings screen, also in the app the sounds and banners are on but nothing. What it could be? Thanks.

You might have that person muted?

I tryed not only with a person. I tested it with three different friends but the result is the same. I am not sure what to do.

I forgot to mention that other apps are sending me the notifications. All settings on the messenger notifications are on but no efect.

Update the FaceBook app and your iPhone OS to the latest version.
Or you can simply reboot your iPhone to see if the problem persists.

The problem was solved. I wrote with a friend using the messenger app and it sincronises all data.
