Options Log in or register to post comments Comments dot 7 and dot 4 Hello, I think it is dots 7 and 4. JUST hit dot 7 and 4 at the same time. I hope that helps. What about a capital letter? Yes, and worked, but my next question is what about a capital letters? Are their any cheat sheets I would be able to look at online? I feel like I should know all of this stuff because I learned braille in school, but I'm a little rusty, and I'm sorry about that. Lol. not sure about sheets, but... It's ok. I learned nemeth braille in school, & I don't use it because it's a MAJOR PITA.! But as a result, I'm rusty so anytime I have to enter nemeth, my brain cells squeak from rust. lol But, if that doesn't work, do a capital U, then dot 4. Capital letters are the same. Say you wanted to do a capital b. For that, and any other letter press space with u, then the letter. If you want caps lock, press space with u 2 times, then type. Then once you're done just press space with u again once. I started to learn braille at 6 months old, & I use it for EVERYTHING! I can't wait to get a braille display to go with my ipad mini 4, because I miss braille! With that, I feel like I comprehend more when I read whether it's a book oh a worksheet. And braille is one of those skills that if you don't use it, YOU WILL lose it! Hope this helps & good luck! Capital Letters Hello. You can use dot 7 with any letter to capitilize it. Computer Braille Cheat Sheet I use computer braille all day every day, here's a list of stuff. capitals add dot 7 to any letter numbers lower letters down: 1 dot 2 2 dots 23 3 dots 25 4 dots 256 5 dots 26 6 dots 235 7 dots 2356 8 dots 236 9 dots 35 0 dots 356 exclamation mark is dots 2346 at sign is dots 47 number hash is dots 3456 dollar sign is dots 1246 percent sign dots 146 and sign is dots 12346 star asterisk is dots 16 left round parenthesis is dots 12356 right round parenthesis is dots 23456 hyphen dash is dots 36 equals sign is 123456 plus sign is 346 underscore underline is 4567 backslash is 12567 vertical bar is 1256 left square bracket is 2467 right square bracket is 124567 left curly brace is 246 right curly brace is 12456 semicolon is 56 colon is 156 apostrophe is dot 3 quote is dot 5 comma is dot 6 period full stop is 46 left angle bracket less than is 126 right angle bracket greather tahn 345 forward slash is 34 question mark is 1456 grave accent mark is dot 4 tilde is dots 45 carat (not sure of spelling) is 457 I hope I got them all and didn't make any mistakes! The funny thing is when I try to type the dots numbers, it's hard cuz I just "see" the shape in my head and don't really "know" the dot numbers. I know them, but I don't think ok, I need dot 1 for an a, I just feel the pattern of an a and braille it. Same for printed letters I am sure, do you really think of a capital L as a straight vertical line and then a shorter horizontal line at the bottom? Probably not, you just see it in your head and write it. What I find hardest in computer braille are remembering the symbols for accented letters. How on earth to people remember those? They don't look like an e with a slash for e accute, but like some symbol. I wish Apple would let people redefine braille codes like you can with JAWS braille tables. (If you want that, it's a .jbt file in your JAWS folder.) My other pet peeve in braille is emoji. Speech gives descriptions, and braille question marks. Why can't Apple make an action we can press to have the speech description for it shown in braille? I am Deaf and don't hear the speech well. Hope this helps a bit.
