Blindfold Sudoku

Description of App

Blindfold Sudoku is a fully accessible Sudoku game for both sighted and visually impaired people, designed for rapid audio play.

Blindfold Sudoku comes with 5 Sudoku 9-by-9 puzzles - easy, medium and difficult - and is controlled through gestures. It doesn't require voice-over but
is fully compatible with voice-over.

The Sudoku puzzle board is not visible; instead, you play by listening. Tap on a cell to hear what's in the cell, swipe left to hear the row, swipe down
to hear the column and swipe up to hear the square. Blindfold Sudoku gives you audio cues to tell the difference between the initial puzzle cells and the
cells you fill in, and it lets you set multiple candidates for a cell.

You can customize the game to your liking: how much extra information is spoken and how quickly it is spoken.

Blindfold Sudoku was suggested at a meeting in the Boston area with several blind gamers who enjoyed Blindfold Racer and wanted to see more games in the
same style - audio games that were equally accessible for visually impaired and sighted people, ensuring sighted people don't have any advantages by seeing
the screen. In Blindfold Sudoku, the screen is dark.

Never done one of those puzzles in my life and was completely bewildered until I figured out what to do. Once you get it, you'll not want to stop. A nice little addictive time waster, hours in some cases actually. I'd opt to pay the in app purchase price as well, support this developer because he's just that good

I have had problems with this App. I started playing about two months ago. Frequently for no explainable reason the phone will crash and reboot on its own while I am playing. First question, I assume you leave Voice Over on while playing? I tried turning it off and could not interact with the keypads where you input numbers. Has anyone else experienced this?

I haven't heard of this. Try deleting the app entirely from your phone and re-downloading it. Apple should not charge you for upgrading a second time. You don't need voice over on when playing - it doesn't matter one way or the other. If you use the settings screen, you will need voice over, but the main screen disables voice over to play.

It is almost impossible to create an app that actually crashes the phone, so deleting the app and reinstalling it should help.

I really really love this game!
But I wish you could change the voice. Right now, for some reason, it is using my Danish voice (in a really high pitch too) to read the help screen and for all the alerts. Obviously, it miss-pronounces everything. Otherwise, it's a great game! I have never played sudoku before and love it!

You can pick a voice in the settings screen.

I just installed the game. Unfortunately the flicking gestures for navagating the puzzles only work, the first five times or so. After that only flicking down brings an answer, every third try or so. Flicking in any other dirction does nothing. The gesture for returning to the menu doesn't work either.
The two finger gestures work fine, entering a number via the number pad is possible as well.
Deletingand reinstalling the app didn't help.
Any other suggestions...?

Send an email to me from the game - its in the settings screen - and I can figure it out with you.
