Hi all, anyone know if there is a tutorial for using GarageBand on iOS, with or without a Bluetooth keyboard. I would like to be able to use this app but can't begin to get the hang of it. How usable is it by a blind person using voice-over? Is it any easier or any more accessible Onamac? Thanks in events.

GB is no longer very accessible unfortunately. I've emailed Apple many times about it in recent months but each new version seems to only get worse for VO users so I've given up on it. If you search this forum you'll find several other threads discussing GB if you still feel like braving it. I use other apps or my PC for recording as a result

Hi Joe, thanks for the feedback. I have recently moved from Windows to Mac. Struggling somewhat at the moment. Using my keyboard with my computer in the past I have used Qws for midi, and have used gold wave for other audio. I would be interested to know what you use for recording on a Mac or iOS?

On Ios, Garageband works seamlessly for me. I haven't run into many issues with Garageband, except maybe one in the Alchemy synth, but I've found a workaround for that. On the Mac, I can't say, because I'm a beginner myself, but it seems to work OK. Hope this helps.

I'm new on AppleVis, and it's a great source of tech advice on Apple devices. Thanks to all of you who help to make this site a lively and interesting place.
I've just started using GB ... or trying to. Thing is,GB is accessible if you're talking about labeled buttons and the like, with a few exceptions. The big problem for me,as a total beginner in any kind of music production, is that it's not intuitive, and VoiceOver tutorials for it are few and far between. I managed to do a voice and guitar recording without the slightest idea of what I was doing, and haven't been able to repeat that particular feat of musical alchemy. I'm using an iPad Pro 9.7-inch and havebeen considering switching to a Mac for easier music production. I tinkered with GW on Windows, but stopped using it because i couldn't pay for it. Has anyone used GB in its current form on iOS?
