I have not installed 6.0 on my 4s phone yet , but 6.01 shows it is ready to be installed under settings. Can I really install it without 6.0 installed?

Yes, it should be fine. I have not done this myself, but know of others who have.

Yes you can skip versions no problem. Apple simply offer you the most recent update.

Text bug

Greetings- I have a Verizon iphone 4s 16gb and recently did the upgrade to 6.0 When I did this it seems that my text capabilities changed somewhat. If I'm texting someone and my phone goes to sleep or I lock it etc and the text que to that individual is open in my messages it makes no sounds or alerts that that person has responded. I can only get it to notify me if I constantly keep my message closed. Is anyone else having this issue and is there a way to correct it? It's very troublesome since I have missed many responses having left the que open waiting for them to answer. Thanks-
