Description of App
Blindfold Home Run Derby is a fully accessible baseball hitting game designed for rapid audio play. Just like the annual home run hitting contest in Major League Baseball, the objective of this game is to get as many home runs as possible before scoring too many outs.
Blindfold Home Run Derby comes with two types of games: Hitting Game, where you keep hitting the ball until you have 9 outs. The game keeps track of the number of singles, doubles, triples and home runs you achieve.
'
The Bases Game is just like the Hitting Game, but when your players can move from base to base. For example, if you get a single followed by a double, your players are now on second and third base. If you get another double, both players will make it to home base, and you'll have scored 2 runs.
Blindfold Home Run Derby was suggested by hundreds of visually impaired people when surveyed about what game to build next.
The game includes several in-app upgrades.

Sounds pritty awesome
1 question though, do you really have to purchase coins?
coins and the game
Hi.
Yeah, because Blindfold Games decided to go onto the fremium road, you have to purchase coins when you play, one game takes one coin. Why they do this, well, I don't know, several devs seam to do that, something that I really don't like. Either make it free, or, make it payed with some little upgrades in there.
BTW. What is this now. A homerun durby where just homeruns score? Or a regular baseball game with homerun durby features? I am confused, wish would that the official homerun durby would be accessible.
I can't download the game
I just tried downloading the game and the message I got was that Item was not available. This game sounds awesome.
not in the app store for me
Just ddid a search for Blindfold Home Run Derby, and got 0 results.
Appstore link in the description doesn't work either
I just had a look, and when clicking on the app store link in the description of the app, i'm told to choose another store. I did rread an article that says only 64-bit apps show up in searches in the app store just ahead of wwdc. So it looks like if these aren't 64-bit apps, none of the links are going to work, which is going to mean a whole lot of work for app developers like Marty.
Not in the app store
I just looked as well and did not find it in the app store. A lot of work will need to be done by developers to make their apps 64 bit, and hopefully the important ones I use have already done so.
I have a suggestion for you guys.
Just type in blindfold games, then scroll through all the results. That is how I found it.
Found It In The Canadian App Store
I couldn't find this game a few hours ago. However, I just looked again and found it with no problems at all.
Link now working
The above App Store link is now working, so I am assuming that the developer had temporarily removed this from the App Store and that's why it couldn't be found.
Found it in the Australian store
It's now available in the Australian store and I just downloaded it. Looking forward to trying it out later tonight. When I searched yesterday, it wasn't available here, but it was listed in the South African store.
Now available in the French App Store as well
Hi! When I first read about Blindfold Home Run Derby in this App Directory entry yesterday, I searched for it in the French App Sttore and got no results. However, just now I saw that one of the comments above said that this game could be found using Blindfold Games as a search term, so I searched for it that way, and Blindfold Home Run Derby came up among lots of results. The game has just finished downloading on to my iPhone as I write this, so I will have a go at playing it later.
Why was it gone from the app store?
Because I goofed and when you purchased the upgrade, you didn't get anything.
That's fixed now, and available world wide.
I have been waiting for a baseball game
This is definitely a good start for what I hope maybe come over for fledged baseball game. It is challenging, and I could see where this would Evolve into a game where you could manage your own team and play against other teams, maybe even classic teams. Keep Up the good work. I think this could be the most popular Game in your entire collection. Maybe football will be next. Just wishing.
Two things I have noticed
Good game. However, it seems the only ones who ever record outs are the center fielder and third baseman. Just curious about that. Also, don't the home run derbies have ten outs with every hit that is not a home run becoming an out? I understand fielders making plays in the bases game, but shouldn't the home run derby part be either a home run or an out, regardless of whether the ball is caught or not?
Who gets out
It really depends on where the ball goes. When I play, I can get it to go to different parts to get an out, just to test it. It's not easy. I know the home run derby rules are more stringent, and I did that at first, but the game was really boring that way.
Interesting
I've tried swiping it in every direction imaginable, and I've never had an out recorded by anyone but the third baseman or the center fielder. I wonder if I'm doing something wrong?
I don't think swiping will help much
This game is all about tapping at the right moment.
