External numpad to make Calls on iphone

Hi,
My office has decided to remove the desk phones and replace them with iPhones. This is challenging for me since I have to unlock the iPhone and access the phone to dial the phone numbers on a touch screen.

Do any of you know of an external numpad like the one on my desk phone that can connect to the iPhone and make calls?

Hi,
I haven't a clue if they make a device like the one you're wondering about. In my opinion, your two options are to learn where the numbers are located via VoiceOver on the keypad, or use a Bluetooth keyboard to enter the numbers. Note, these do not have nun-ads like the old computer keyboards did back in the day.

Tried this with my bluetooth numeric keypad once and it didn't work. The communication profile must be different for some reason, at least on the one I bought. Use a standard bluetooth keyboard. They're handy for entering passwords as well. Can even get one with a numeric keypad. I use a Logitech that allows pairing with three devices and switching among them with a fn keypress, so my phone, Macbook, and Windows desktop can all potentially use it. Not my favorite keyboard and not without quirks, but it works.

Just tried entering a phone number on a bluetooth keyboard, and it won't stay in the edit field after the first keypress. So, that doesn't seem to work, either. Oh, Apple, Apple.

Did you ever find a solution? We are paying for a landline, just to do telephone banking as our bank system times out by the time we have entered our access code. We also tried a bluetooth keyboard with the iPhone without success. Please tell me that you found the ideal resolution?

You might be able to switch typing modes from touch typing to, whatever it's called where you have to tap twice to input a number/letter.

Do you need help with the numbpad layout or are you ok with that?

Hello MaleXLR. I know that you are looking for a solution to work with your banks phone system, but have you tried your banks app yet? Personally, I really enjoy working with my bank via their app. Convenient, secure because of Face ID and don't have to fuss with the dial pad at all. I know that not all apps are accessible but thought I would suggest it here.
