Should I expect accessibility issues when I buy a new iPhone?

Hi:
Since I am planning to get a new phone I am not going to update my Iphone 6.
My question is; if I buy an Iphone 8 or 8plus that already has IOS 11 installed will I still have the same accessibilities issues that I have been reading about? Or will they be minor issues. I don't use a braille display. Thanks.

All of the bugs that are present in iOS 11 will be present on your new phone. If you don't use a braille display then iOS 11 should not pose too much of a problem for you.

Hello,

While there are some bugs, I suspect most of the problems occur because of some settings or app conflict during the upgrade process.

If you get a new phone, I suggest you set it up as new instead of restoring from back up. This is a bit more work but you will avoid installing apps you no longer use and you also avoid restoring a problem or conflict.

HTH and good luck.

I bought an iPhone 8 plus and had no problems. New software always has some bugs -- for sighted people and voiceover users -- but with Apple products the phone will be accessible when it is new.

The one thing that we can be thankful for is that all Apple products are accessible out of the box.

The iPhone will be OK. Just have to deal with bugs. Take a deep breath and wait for iOS 11.1 to come out on November.
