I use the Word app and I have an IPad Mini four. My class has to write an essay which is required to be in MLA format. If anyone knows how to do this step-by-step or can send me a link to a guide, that would be vary helpful.
Thank you

Do you have a computer you can use?
Hello, formatting on an Ipad can be very hard. You can google what you need to do to format in MLA, but doing it on an Ipad will be very challenging. You have to be able to move text around on the page. I wish I could be more help, and I wish you luck!
Windows computer
Take it from someone who bent over backwards in frustration, getting through college with a Mac and VoiceOver, you should not stick with a tool just because it's what you have or are comfortable with. Your going to have thousands of things to deal with in your educational journey, you might as well use the tools that will make your journey as smooth as possible. In my opinion windows is the best tool for a student. There are windows machines you can buy at many different price ranges; get what you can afford, college is a large financial obligation and the price of a windows computer will be a drop in the bucket. Use Windows 10 for free, by simply not authorizing it, use NVDA for free, and see if you can get desktop Microsoft Word for free through your school. You can keep your ipad if you want, for whatever you think it does well, perhaps taking notes in class.
Good luck.
Style Guide
I wouldn't just trust a word processor program to format to MLA standards. You should be able to google MLA style guide and come up with something recent on one of the university websites.
You'll probably be most concerned with citations and documenting the works you've used. There's very specific ways and formats to record all types of source materiel, and the style guide will help you figure that out.
well
When you go to create a doc, you'll find a bunch of different options such as checklist, both PLA. & MLA. (which is what you want) & double-tap it. At least, it used to have that. It could be in a different place now since they've updated Word, but I know it's there, because, I've seen it a few times. The app is free for users of ipad mini fours. Hope this helps.
