Hi Everyone,

Is there a short cut key for Opening a link in a new Tab in Safari for Voice Over user?

Command plus Mouse Click for non-VO users. Is there a corresponding short cut for this for VO users?

Thanks!

Once the VO cursor is sitting on a link, you can press control-option-shift-m to bring up the context menu, and then press the down arrow once to get to the first option, which is open in new tab. Then you have to stop interacting with the link for some reason.

Hello,
I believe the keystroke is command plus return to open in a new tab.

Thanks to the both of you!!!!

I am under-going training for a job which requires opening result items in Google.

Peter, that (VO Shift M) is actually the method I use. Hehehehe

Greg, This (Command Return) one is I been looking for. It works with the links, although, if the Link is also a Heading in the search result it does not seem to work. I should message Apple.

Thank you again guys!

If the link is embedded in a heading, you may need to interact with it (VO + Shift + Down Arrow) before the shortcut will work. I can’t say for sure if that fixes it for this particular situation, but I have run into other issues with links which required interacting to get around.
