I want to record something in screen recording. The feature works great. The only problem is that I cannot seem to be able to record VoiceOver. I use headphones and all the sound is heard, but not VoiceOver. I cannot record using speakers, because the other sound will be double. I need help. Tried Everycord but it is kind of unreliable. The same thing happened there. Is there a voiceover setting or am I screwed?

Not with headphones ...
Sound is captured using the device's microphone, so it's not going to hear VoiceOver (or other audio from your iPad) if you are using headphones.
No ideal solution yet
It doesn’t have an option to record the audio coming from the device itself, unfortunately. This would be great. i use a screen recording utility on my windows PC that allows you to record from a connected microphone, the PC’s audio itself or both. iOS needs a similar option. A workaround is to start the recording process and then crank the audio coming out of your iPhone speaker so that it gets picked up by the mic. It won’t go very loud because it puts it in a different mode, but it goes loud enough to pick up voiceover. This doesn’t make for a very professional recording but it gets the job done.
Recording with EveryCord
This is how I've been able to make it work:1. Recording without headphone. I don't find it an issue as long as I'm in a quiet place.2. Opening control center and activating controls of screen recording. 3. Selecting EveryCord and making sure the microphone is turned off. Yes, keep it turned off at this point. 4. Starting broadcast and waiting for it to continue for around 15-20 seconds.5. Now turning the microphone on and going ahead with my recording. Later I would save the video from EveryCord to camera roll and edit the video to trim the silent portion.
Switching audio output to speaker
The native screen recording tool will default to playing audio through your device's earpiece if you set it to record audio using the microphone. However, once the recording has started in this state, you can go to the Control Center and switch audio output to the device speaker.
It's a little frustrating and typically means that you will need to trim the start of any recording, but it's not a big hassle.
can't find any option to
can't find any option to switch audio output to the device speaker! Where is it?
Use 3D Touch on the media
Use 3D Touch on the media controls area of the Control Center (or long press if your device does not support 3D Touch). On the resulting screen double-tap on the Playback Destination button; from the list double-tap the one that's your device speaker.
This works well but one problem
This is working absolutely fine, exept that when I share it with external apps, audio disappears! Any workaround for this as well? Thanks.
Problems with screen recording
I've been having a few problems with the screen recording feature lately. Other than the sound defaulting to the earpiece of the iPhone, there are times when I screen record something, and even though my screen curtain is off, there is a black screen. Does anyone know what can be recorded, and what cannot be recorded? Also, there are times when I would like to record my screen from one of the Apple apps such as iMovie to properly edit a video, and voiceover is not heard in the recording. Does anyone no what's happening here? And then there are times when I will screen record something, but when I import it into iMovie to edit it, the sound is not there. Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one having these problems, and I can't seem to find anything on the Internet. Weird! And I don't have a computer, so it's not like I can completely reset my device.
The Audio Disappearance Explained
Hello All! I too have the issue with disappearing audio after I‘m done recording from my iPhone screen.
After a bit of fiddling around, I was able to find out what actually happens: It seems that the audio of the Screen Recording is still in the saved video file. However, for some odd reason, it is moved to a secondary audio track, while the first (primary) audio track is just plain silence.
In order to hear the audio again, all a user has to do is play the video, then change the played audio track. It‘s like in movies that come with an English audio track and another one offering Audio Description.
As I said: This is what seems to be happening. Now, why is it happening? How can it be prevented or how can one fix the video to end up with only one actual audio track? All these I haven‘t found out.
But if somebody does have a hint, I‘d really like to know.
Wow, that's strange
Quick question though, how do I change the audio track?
Also, when I emailed Apple about this problem, they told me that they could not re-create it in their testing. I thought I was the only one experiencing it. That's strange though.
voiceOver fix when doing a screen recording
Good day
If there is any unclearty on how to fix the voiceOver recording during screen recordings, here is a video:

In regards to the audio being missing from the screen recording, I did not find that to be a problem. I've exported my screen recording via This PC,'s iPhone export option and the audio worked just fine.
In regards to the black screen, I don't know what caused the problem. Just make sure that the screen kertain is off and that your screen brightness is turned up. You won't be able to record your screen in lock screen. This is the only place where I found screen recorder not to be able to work.

I hope that helps...
You can now Record VoiceOver
I've been able to record VoiceOver both when headphones are in and when they are out, as well as all other system sounds.
That's not possible. I cannot
That's not possible. I cannot do this. I use reflector instead, it works grate.
Strange
That is very strange, as that is how I recorded my Circus Master's revenge podcast on PpleVis.
Yeah it does not work here
Yeah it does not work here for the rest of us. Maybe your phone is just special. Here is what reflector sounds like. Sorry it ends mid demo. I lost the other half of the recording due to a slip of my finger.

VoiceOver In Screen Recordings
I'm using an iPhone 8 and I'm running iOS 13.1.1. I can make screen recordings including VoiceOver with no problems at all. I have made several of them over the weekend.
For the record, screen
For the record, screen recording while voiceovers going, also working nicely on my IPad Mini 5th generation.
VoiceOver + Screen Recording as of iOS 13
It seems we have the ability to include VoiceOver audio in screen recordings thanks to iOS 13. In order to get your voice in addition to device audio in screen recordings, be sure to turn on the microphone for screen recording:
1. Open the Control Center.
2. Flick right to Screen Recorder.
3. Flick down and double tap on Open Controls.
4. Make sure the camera roll is selected and make sure Turn On Microphone is selected.
This works fabulously now. I have already used it for two important accessibility testing projects!
Feadback
I don't know which iOS tunmi13 is running, but I cannot run iOS 13, because I have the iPhone 6. But on iOS 12.4. It is working. Including swhiching to speaker device when the headsets is plugged in. I don't know what change the phone's heart, because when I tried to swiching to device speaker, with headsets, there wasn't such an option. I will check out iOS13 on my iPad. Just did not have the time.
