Hi all
I have just purchased and received my first MacBook, as a Windows convert, and so far, I am loving it. Voiceover seems to come really naturally to me, which could be partly due to my experience and many years of using VoiceOver on the iPhone and iPad.
My only question (at the moment -- I'm sure more will follow!) is this: is there a VO shortcut for accessing the notification centre? I've found it on the menu extras area, but can't figure out if there is a quicker way to access it. I looked in the VO keyboard commander too, to see if there was a command in there that could help, but I didn't spot it. Any help would be very much appreciated.

Enable via System Preferences
Here's how to enable and set a keyboard shortcut to open the notification center.
Open System preferences and go to the Keyboard preference pane.
Select the Shortcuts tab.
From the categories table select Mission Control.
Tab to the Mission Control Shortcuts table.
Check that the Show Notification Center shortcut is enabled. If desired, change the shortcut to whatever you would prefer.
Using this shortcut should now open the Notification Center and move VoiceOver focus to it.
Quite handy.
Thank you
Ah perfect — thank you! I’ll give that a shot
