Hi! I'm wondering if there is a keystroke for closing tabs? Right now, what I do is interact with the tab bar, interact with the title of the tab, and press the Remove button. is there a less awkward way to do this? Thanks.

Hi,
If I understand this right, the way I do it is hit CMD+W, which closes a window in safari. It should also close a new tab also. Not sure if this is what you were looking for.

Hi, Justin. Thanks for the reply. I've been kind of used to using tabs instead of separate windows in web browsers. I was looking for a keystroke to close tabs within a single window. I don't notice any indication of it in the file menu. I'm thinking that instead of using the visual tab bar and searching for the "close tab" button, I may start using separate windows instead. thanks again.

Hi Teresa,
Command W is the Key Combination that you're after.
It will close the current open Tab.

Thanks! Although it's a bit confusing, because the keystroke does close the current tab. However, VO announces, "closing all windows." And in the file menu, the "close window" command has the command-w accelerator with it. Well, I won't worry, since command-w does indeed close the current tab, and that's indeed what I was after.
