Iphone 7 camera

I am posting because I'm considering of getting an upgrade to the iPhone 7 from my current Se model. Can anyone please tell me if the better camera makes any difference with Apps like KNFB Reader, Seeing Ai thand any other OCR apps. I'm just wondering if the camera performance makes an upgrade worthwile. Thanks everyone, S

Hi Jason,

The iPhone SE, which is the model you currently have, I believe, has the same camera as the iPhone 6s. It is a 12-megapixel back camera. In English, it’s a decent camera. The only improvement worth noting with the iPhone 7’s camera compared to your current phone is that the 7 has optical image stabilization, which means it can make shaky images look less shaky. From what I’ve heard, it makes these OCR and object recognition apps work a little better.

If you want a stellar camera, though, have a look at the iPhones 8 or XR, since they have much better cameras, better processors (which will improve the processing time for photos), and longer battery life. They will also last you longer. But the 7 is a decent buy, if you are focused on image recognition apps alone.
