New problem entering comments on YouTube

It appears with the latest YouTube update for iOS the comment view is broken. I can type my comment using the on screen keyboard but when I slide my finger up to find the text edit box for the comment or the send button, neither are available. Voiceover just makes that clicking sound indicating nothing underneath your finger is capable of receiving focus. Is anyone else experiencing this?

The only solution that I’ve found is to turn off Voiceover and tap where the buttons should be. After three or so times of hitting the massive discard button I just go with it.

yes it's a issue in the latest update.
and can only be resolved if we all report this issue to google
please let's do it.
we can do it in the app, in settings and then the Help button.

I submitted feedback using the help menu from the YouTube app and hopefully it will get routed to the accessibility team since that’s what the problem references, but I will also use that accessibility feedback form as well. Thank you for that. I thought I found a workaround, but the fix seems to be temporary. I deleted and reinstalled the YouTube app and for a little while, I know longer had the issue. I could interact with all the elements of the comments view without issue. However, coming back to the app later in the day, the problem had returned. This is a pretty serious bug for those of us who interact in the comments sections of videos, so hopefully it will be resolved soon. Thanks again, everybody

Thank you for your patience while we worked on your case. I'm happy to tell you that we were able to fix the issue with the YouTube comment box! This fix has rolled out on the 14.10 YouTube update!
Once you get the update could you please test the YouTube app and let me know how it goes?
