I don’t think you can insert emojis, but you can insert the faces you make using the keyboard, e.g. :), :(, etc. Say “smiley” for the :), frown for the :( (I think), and surprise for another one (I think it’s :o but I have no way of verifying taht at the moment.)
Hi, the best method I have found for quickly using emojis is with the emoji rotor option. To use it, do the following.
First, input, either through typing or dictation, a word that is close to the emoji you want; for example, type the word cat, if you want the cat or cat face emoji, type wedding if you are looking for the bride emoji etc.
Step 2, once you have inputted the words that are close to your desired emojis, change to the emoji keyboard, you might have to go and add that keyboard through settings, I'm not sure if it's already there by default.
Finally, if you have the emoji keyboard open, in a text field that already has text in it, cycle through your rotor options and see if there is an emoji option. The emoji rotor option is present when there are words in the text field that could be replaced by emoji. Once you have selected the emoji rotor option you can flick up and down to move through the different words that have possible emoji replacements. When you double tap on one of these words you will be presented with all of the applicable emoji options, for example, the word face might bring up all face options. If a word only has one emoji option, double tapping it will automatically input the emoji.
This is a pretty simple process once you try it, I'm making it seem more complex then it is.

Thanks
I didn't know that. I will give that a try.
Not that simple.
That method can only be used in the messages app, so back to square one.
