A ranking of the life simulators I have on my phone.

So I have three life simulation games on my phone, bitlife, alter ego, and the life simulator, Yes, that really is the name of the game.
So in the first place there is bitlife. Bitlife has the best interface and it is very funny at times. You can do a lot of things and the constant updates make it the best.
Next, we have alter ego. Alter ego is a good game, but nowhere as good as bitlife. You can control a lot of things about your life, but you can’t get a pet, get surgery, go to the movies, or do a lot of the things you can do in bitlife.
In last place, we have the life simulator. It’s a good concept, I’ll give it that, but it does not have a very good interface, it takes a long time to even complete one year, and overall the game seems unpolished.
If you know of any other accessible life simulator games, let me know. Also make sure to comment your rankings of these games or any games you may have

I have alter ego and bitlife, but I'm not sure which one is better. Alter Ego is better if you haven't played in a while and have a lot of time, but bitlife can get boring after a while if you're just sitting there playing for more than an hour. A game I wish was accessible is Instlife. Everyone is trying to argue that bitlife is a copy of instlife or the other way around, but I've watched videos of people playing it and they're not really the same. You can do different stuff in instlife, like have art lessons or sports lessons, and earn money by selling paintings and releasing albums. Also I'm pretty sure there's more stats and it's organized more into tabs.

Yeah, if that game was accessible it would be nice. However, I don’t think it can be made accessible because of its very visual nature.

Now that I have bitlife I kind of hate alter ego now. I might take it off my phone some day since I haven't played in a long time. And they don't update that game anyways.

Personally I don't really like alterego. The genders are very steriotypical, just let me be my tomboy self for goodness sake! It also shames you for picking certain choices and pretty much everyone is a jerk or a pervert. Your mother leaves you in the kitchen alone so you could get poisoned, or even if you don't she still scolds you for playing somewhere you shouldn't even though that never would have happened had she done what my mother did and put a baby gate on the door. I could provide more examples, but I think I'll stop here.

By Joel on Monday, June 10, 2019 - 15:51

You’ve got to remember that alter ego is a port of an 80s game of the same name. Certain things, like gender stariotypes were normal in the 80s and therefor they are in the game.

By Zoe Victoria on Monday, June 10, 2019 - 15:51

In reply to by Joel

I know that, and I'm not blaming the IOS devs for that. I'm just expressing my opinion. AND I'm pretty sure they did have baby gates when this game was released so there's really no excuse for the poison thing. It was all the parents, not me. I was just doing what babies are prone to do.

By Joel on Monday, June 10, 2019 - 15:51

they purposely didn’t put those in. That scenario is made to be used to raise your intelligence.

Gender stereotypes normal in the 80s? I love this comment - it makes the 1980s sound like the 1950s! It's nonsense though, I'm afraid. There were many things about the 1980s which were different. TV sitcoms were of a higher quality (this is the UK I'm talking about), you had to wait four weeks to have a telephone installed, and five gold medals at a summer Olympics was considered a very good performance by the British Olympic Association. But I do not recall any gender stereotypes except in Enid Blyton books, and she was writing in the 40s. That was another thing about the 80s - I don't recall children's programmes having the degree of soul-searching in them as they do now, The Story of Tracy Beaker and all that is far more geared towards social responsibility than was, say, Grange Hilll.

I started playin alter eggo back in 2006 using the web browser based version during the days of good old windows xp. How I miss that ralyable version of windows, but that's not part of this topic. Anyway, I could never figure out how stats like gentleness, expressiveness, and other things were determined. I remember the first time I played this game and it said that I had to learn how to be nice. I don't really think I was much of a brat as a baby in that game, I mean, all babies are bound to throw fits every once in a while, speaking from personal experience as an aunt of that one. And as I got older, I noticed that my stats seemed to drop, even though as a child and later a teenager, I don't think I was a brat.

By Ornella on Monday, June 10, 2019 - 15:51

The devs or who ever made that game is a close-minded person and I have proof of that from reading the app reviews. People suggested lots of options and different life events and they did not want to put it in the game. When last has that game been updated? And if they do update it its nothing major other than bug fixes. I finally deleted it from my phone. I did get my money's worth though.

That game is a port of something made for one of those really old computers that took a heck of a lot of time to set up and beeped a lot. I can't remember what they're called so we'll leave it at that.Think of it as a PC emulator for an NES game. They aren't going to add anything that wasn't originally in that game, they're simply making it available again for those who don't have that system but want to play.

Alter Ego is not a life simulator. alter Ego is, in fact, a game created by the same guy who went on to create Choice of Games. It is, in essence, a choice of game without the COG label.

It is a story of what life could be, thus not a lot of replay value. I do wish a game could be created that combined the elements of BitLife and a COG game for narrative prose.

So, life simulator is way better. By the way, what is it with the whole music chande. So let's get to the differens shall we.
For a start, you has no ads. And there is no pay to win or purchase full game. And there is a daily reward system to get cash, youth potions, and even perks. Plus, there are so many easy, medium, and hard characters. And also, it has some amazing music and sound efects. And also, you can do lots and lots of crimes. And also, you can't skip ads with avoice over on bitlefe. And I can tell you how to close ads that you watch of bonuses. You disable the voiceover and then you tap in the top right corner. So, I am going to play it now to admire its awsomeness. Oh yes, and it is possible

By Orinks on Wednesday, June 10, 2020 - 15:51

See, BitLife is not life simulation. The pointless funny bits, the fact that you can get through a life in less than 30 minutes etc.

Life Simulator is more simulation but I don't like that each action a week passes.

Lastly, Alter Ego is not life simulation at all. It is actually the precurser to what Choice of Games would become.

HTH.

By DMNagel on Wednesday, June 10, 2020 - 15:51

Life sim is not exactly realistic either, what with all the weird potions and Ridiculously expensive stuff. Don't really care about music in a text game either. One major plus is that, at least all crimes are accessible. Gotta give them that. I stand with BitLife.

Could you help me? I need help playing bitlife. Most of the items are nun-clickable. And how do you close ads with voice over?

By Ornella on Friday, July 10, 2020 - 15:51

I like that the life simulater has all the crimes and all of that but i stand with bitlife all the way. and it is true that you can finish a game in 30 minutes but that's a person's choice to do so. I don't like music in any games. if i can i always turn them off. i haven't touched the life simulater in months. i'm about 500 years only and living like a zombie. for bitlife before you could've turned off your wy fy and play with out the adds but they found a way to stop people from doing that so if you don't want adds you got to pay for a bitizenship.

It is amazing. I didn't know you could get that far!
Please go on it. You can, 1. Chose many different characters. 2. Stop pandemics with the power of collage! 3. Commit lots of crimes. 4. Funny escape outcomes. 5. Realistic settings and events. 6. Lots of jobs. 7. Able to play sports. 8. No pay to win. 9 Free! 10. Lots of vacation options. 11. Lots of educaation options. 12. Great music and sound efects. 13. Pets, children, family and more. 14. Very challenging. 15. A daily reward system. Bonus. You have achievements and perks.
So, could you please play it?

By Joel on Friday, July 10, 2020 - 15:51

Bitlife is still better. Actions in life sim still take a week in game. I feel like life Sim was primarily designed for sighted users, since they can tap and navigate faster than we can. Sure, life sim May have music, but it’s the same song looping over and over again. It gets very annoying after a while. all of the crimes in life sim may be accessible, I’ll give it that, but bitlife is still a better game overall

By Ornella on Friday, July 10, 2020 - 15:51

I mean people can do what ever they want but i still say bitlife is better because there are countless ways you can play and end your life and compared to the life sim bitlife has numerous updates and still there are more updates to come. I wouldn't say i wasted my money on life sim because i only purchased the sandbox mode and that was it. I got my money's worth from playing that game. if i delete it from my phone i won't feel bad. still from time to time i might pick it up and play a bit but haven't in months.

Life sim you can start either a real estate building, farm for chickens, restraunt, softwear studio, factory and I think there is something else.
It is amazing what you can do.
Long live life sim.
Be gone bitLife be gone.
Always remember that.
You could even make some long live life sim banners.
Or be gone bitLife be gone flags.

Life sim is endless, get a lot of stuff, and bitlife is so-o-o-o-o-o adult rated.

By Pax on Sunday, January 10, 2021 - 15:51

Hi. Can’t find it on AppStore

By Kibo on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 - 15:51

I am now going to list all the life sim games I've played. I say played because I've experimented with a few inaccessible ones.

So first we just have a game which is also called life simulator, but it says life simulator, rpg, instead of realistic life sim game. This one is just THE BEST game I've ever played. It's basically a pegi bitlife with fishing and hunting, crimes fighting and trading.

Then we have life simulator, the original one. Ok that's one of the best sims I've played and I'm very good at it. Strategy, realestate company aar 5 million dollars, that's the best way.
But then in 3rd place we have the game called ultimate real life simulator. That's good, pretty idle, but has a lot of adds, apaying soon, they made it so you couldn't have airoplane mode on grr.

Then there is the game called hobo life sim. Yes it's a great game, NEAT, but it's more a case of being a bit tricky rather than accessibility. Life expectancy is a pain.

Then there is alter ego. Gotta love that cool storyline and those different things you can play through. But it's only worth playing once, even though I've played it about 3 times.

You'll be surprised to know that we're already on bitlife. It's a great game only that its 17+. That's the only real problem. Apart from that you' progress a year at a time? Sure in the first one I listed there are 20 days in a year but this one is just senceless.

Then is re-play, it's an awfully short 17+ kinda weird text based choose your own adventure game. Come on, you either end up dying in one of the stages or you go into a coma, but the coma option only happened once.

And finally, uh, enclaver. Why do I even bother with this one? This is just naughty, rude and sorta inaccessible. Although it's a kinda good game, driving licence or half of the things that you do in game aren't accessible. For the sake of your ssanity don't download.

I forgot to include influencer life simulator, but that would go in between bitlife and re-plthy I think.

By Moopie Curran on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 - 15:51

Maybe I'm a dork, but bitlife is my favorite, simply because of the fact you can add custom people. And you can wind up with custom people as your friends, classmates, significant others, etc. For example, Gordon Peterson from Channel 9 was one of my classmates, lol. Now I've never tried some of the other ones. I've tried alterego, "life sim", and hobo life sim, they're ok, but I don't really care for the lack of customization.
PS. The bitlife devs made a spin-off of bitlife called doglife, it's where you live as a dog, but it's not accessible at all.

By Kibo on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 - 15:51

the hobo life sim that you play isn't the hobo life sim that I play. Influencer and hobo life are made by the same guy, along with hobo ceo and time is money. The hobo life you're thinking of, does it have a market where you sell bottles and cardboard and then you have to manage your life expentancy?

By Moopie Curran on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 - 15:51

In reply to by Kibo

The hobo life I played very briefly due to the lack of customization was the one where you sell bottles. Mind you, I haven't played it in a really long time, so they could've added stuff.

By Kibo on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 - 15:51

If you could beg or buy the bottles then it may be the one. Do you know the link to game?

By Moopie Curran on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 - 15:51

Nope, I don't have the link, it's been years since I've played it, maybe 2016 or 2017, I think it's in the app directory, although I'm not the one who submitted it.

By Kibo on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 - 15:51

don't think that one's one, check out the others I listed. Not enclaver ...
