Hi, i'm probably in the wrong forum entirely, but I got an iPod touch a few days ago. It only came with a charging cable. Can I attach this to my iPhone plug or do I just have to use my computer to charge it?
Also are there any ways of saving battery life so it doesn't go down as quick?
Thanks x

Charging
To answer your first question, you can use your iPhone charger, a computer USB port, or another USB charger.
Answers
1: Yes, you can just use the iPhone's charger and cable. Both the iPhone and iPod use the same lightning connector, and you can use any USB charger with them. Charging from the iPhone's charger will go faster than charging from a computer.
2: There aren't really any iPod specific battery saving techniques , any tricks that apply to an iPhone will also work on an iPod. Keep it on the lowest brightness that you can see, turn off background app refresh for apps you may not be using, and if you're doing something that doesn't require internet access and don't mind not receiving notifications on the iPod, turn off Wi-fi and bluetooth from the settings app. This will actually have a much larger impact on an iPod than an iPhone because it won't have any internet access at all, which stops a lot of background tasks.
Finally, keep in mind that because the iPod is a smaller device in general, its battery isn't as large as an iPhone, so it may discharge quicker than an iPhone, particularly when used intensively with wi-fi turned on, and this is completely normal. It's also a good idea to keep your battery charge between 20 to 80%, so don't let it discharge completely and don't keep it on the charger for long periods. iOS 13 has a feature which learns when you charge your devices and keeps it at the 80% sweetspots and finishes the charge before you usually disconnect it, so this will also help with making the battery last longer.

Also, make sure to get in the habbit of closing Apps when you are done using them for the time being.
Thanks so much, that's
Thanks so much, that's appreciated.
thank you
Thanks so much, that's helpful.
thanks so much
Hi, thanks so much for that, that's really helpful. I already turned Bluetooth off on it.
notifications
Even though my notifications are on, they don't always come through on my iPod. They do on my phone. I've tried turning the iPod on and back off.
