By Dragon Queen, 26 December, 2015 Forum iOS and iPadOS Hi guys, What is the best Twitter client? Should I get it? Why or why not. I have Twitterrific Options Log in or register to post comments Comments Stay with it. You should stay with twitterific. It's the best client I have ever seen . I like tweettings. I am also having twitterrific and now I just bought tweetings and in these two, I prefer tweetings myself. Because, this is not refershing on it's own. We can configure as per our own time limit. And again, I personally feel this is being easier than twitterrific. Raaj. I... I have an iPad Mini 2 Raaj. How accessible is Tweetings iPad addition Thanks. I think I'll keep Twitterrific on my home screen. stick with twiterific I've tried a few twitter clients, tweetings, the native twitter, app, twee list, and twitterific. I prefer twitterific out of all of them. I like how you are limited to a certain number of API calls, and I like the ability to split the different sections, home, messages, and mentions, in to their own tabs. Although, I do have one question. I saved a tweet as a draft, where can I find the draft so I can post it? Loving Tweetings I used to use Twitterrific. I switched to Tweetings in April, and haven't looked back. What I like about Tweetings: Rotor actions for tweets. You can use the VoiceOver rotor to select an action, such as Retweet or Reply, then double-tap to activate it. In my case, I have Tweetings set to retweet the current tweet without a comment when I activate the "Retweet" rotor action, as I generally don't retweet with comments when I'm on a mobile device. Customizability. In Tweetings, you can customize things like how timestamps on tweets are displayed, or whether user names, screen names, or both are shown in the timeline. And those are just the options that immediately come to mind; there are many more customizations available in the app's Settings. Customizable Tabs. You can rearrange the tabs in Tweetings, very much like you can the Dock on your Home Screen. Tweetings with iPad. I'm extremely sorry maria, I don't have an iPad. Raaj. So So should I buy the iPhone edition issues with tweetings, maybe you guys have an answer? Right now, primarily my fave twitter client is Twitterific, but I also have tweetings. I've got 2 issues with tweetings, and I'm hoping someone can assist me with fixing them. Unfortunately the Tweetings guys aren't very good at responding and I've not been able to get a good answer. If I could get these issues fixed, I'd switch in a split second. Firstly, there's a way you can switch the sound that plays when you receive a push notification. I've gone into settings, notification options and changed the sound that plays to another one in the list, and then pressed the sync button, as it says to do within the app if you've made changes. The default sound still plays and the sound never actually changes. Secondly, sometimes for no reason I can figure out, push notifications just quit coming in, even though I've made no changes in the app. I don't know why this is, but I'd really love to fix it. This is why I'm still using twitterific. like I say if I can fix these 2 problems, i'd switch in a split second because I love tweetings! But if I want to get push notifications, Twitterific has never failed me. So both clients are really solid as far as interface goes, but those notification issues with tweetings are a real bummer for me. Hopefully, someone can tell me how to fix these things. I'm kind of more into Tweetings because OK so yesterday Tweetings was on sale for $1 US ($19 Mexican) so I went ahead and grabbed it, thanks to an excellent getting-started podcast Jonathan Mosen did on this app, and because I kind of knew what to expect, having used it on the competition; I also tried Twitterific free, but I don' know it's as if I find Tweetings more intuitive than Twitterific: As some have mentioned on here, I love how one can rearrange the different buffers or sections, and the characteristic I love the most, of how you can set Tweetings up, so as soon as you open it, you're ready to type in a tweet! However I miss the ability, like on the native Twitter app, to certain users, when they tweet, you get notified, thus I wonder does Twitterific have this characteristic? Other than that, I'm planning to stay with Tweetings, but who knows. So what I'm doing now, is still use the native Twitter app for receiving notifications of "The Reforma" a Spanish Mexican Newspaper, and the weather, but use Tweetings as my main Twitter app. Nevertheless I can't help wondering as mentioned before, if Twitterific includes a setup where you can set certain users up so when they tweet you get notified? Thanks for info. Question and Twitterrific Does anyone know of any Twitter clients that have sound affects? Is it true that Twitterrific does not send you notifications? And if it isn’t how do I activate the notifications? I did not receive a pop up when I first downloaded it. Push Notifications Hi Lexi twitter removed the ability for third-party apps like Twitterific to receive push notifications. Here is a the URL: https://support.iconfactory.com/kb/twitterrific/receiving-push-notifications-on-your-ios-device-ios Hope this helps Notifications Hi. Interestingly, I still get notifications from Twitterrific from time to time. Are use both Twitterrific and tweetings, and still can’t make up my mind which I prefer. I only have the free version of Twitterrific, so can’t decide which one is best. Interestingly though, I know of people who simply use the native Twitter client for notifications and then switch to either Twitterrific or tweetings. I’ve tried this, but what I find is that I can never find the notification I’ve just received quickly enough. Does anyone have a solution for this? Thanks Native Twitter Client Hi, I use the native Twitter client. I find it is extremely accessible for the most part, and it's free, unlike all the other Twitter clients. I like that everything's streamlined and it's easy to add image descriptions to photos when necessary. Twitter Just learning to twitt and use twitter. It is OK and I like that I get notification. To twit I use my PC if I want to say something long and something quick my iPhone.
