Apple Hardware and Compatible Accessories

In the last couple of days, my IPhone has started inadvertently unlocking itself. I have a passcode and it is set to be input 10 times before it locks me out. However, this is clearly happening, as I have found myself (temporarily) locked out of my phone. I cannot determine whether it is the home button or the on/off/lock button which is somehow becoming compressed and thus allowing the keyboard to be activated and the numbers to be pressed.

Hello: I am an IPhone 4S user and I am happy with it. My questions is that I am due to upgrade in a couple of months and I am debating with staying with the 4S or moving up to an Iphone 5. I have no useable vision so the size of the screen doesn't matter to me. I would love any opinions on staying with the 4S or getting the Iphone 5. What are the pros/cons for keeping or upgrading. I have a 16GB phone right now and I am thinking of getting either a 32GB or a 64GB. I look forward to hearing what all of you have to say. Thanks a lot. Nancy

Hello all. I have looked all around the forums for information on whether or not it is worth upgrading to a 5 from a 4s. I know the 5 is a bit faster and such. What are the pros and cons to doing this? If any? I ask because I am able to upgrade now. thanks for any help.

I couldn't get a Verbatim bluetooth keyboard to read text when typed on my iPhone with a 5.01 operating system. It did announce text when deleted by backspacing. Any comments or suggestions? Anyone successful under these conditions?

Hi everyone,

I hope I’m placing this in the right category. I also apologize if this question has been asked before, but I looked through five pages of topics, and could not find anything, but I apologize anyway.

I normally have my IPhone 5S set to automatically lock after one minute of inactivity. Unfortunately, last night I did some normal things I do on my phone and put it down. After one minute, the phone kept saying, “Screen dim,” but not locking.

I have an iPhone 6 running iOS 9.2. The battery is acting wierd, for instance, the battery percentage is 18% so I plug it to charge, and then the battery goes to 37% immediately! This happened about 3 times. I often use my iPad charger to charge my iPhone, is that the problem?

Hi, guys!
For those of you who have upgraded your iPhone, did you go for the 6 or 6 Plus? Why? I am personally trying to decide which is best for me to get once I pay off my lease for my 5S. I want a 6 Plus for the battery life and camera, but the fact that I have small hands and the fact that it's $100 more expensive is potentially off-putting. Thoughts?
Thanks in advance!!

Hello, everyone:

Which new iPhone are people considering? If you have already purchased one this month, which one did you buy and why? Is the iPhone 6 Plus too big for practical use on the go by most blind people? I'm told it's almost like carrning a tablet.

What cases would you suggest considering? Has anyone considered buying Apple's silicone case? Does it afford sufficient protection?

On thursday, I went to kMart, and bought a wallet case for my iPhone 6. What I didn't realise, was that it's like an iPad case, which folds back so you can stand it up with the screen facing you, as if you were taking a front-facing selfie. I'll do a podcast on it tomorrow, if you would like.

Hi. I'm just wondering, for those of you who have an iPhone 6 s or 6 s+ do you experience a slow battery charge? I use my iPad charger to charge the battery, and it charges a little faster, but it still takes ten years to get to 100%. The iPhone is only four months old and I've taken very good care of it. Maybe the batter is vary large? My 6 s+ is very heavy.

Today I upgraded to a iPhone 6S. Unfortunately my Astrum 3.0 Bluetooth keyboard don't want to connect. Under settings I turned on Bluetooth, then switch on the keyboard and I received the message: "Juanita now discoverable. Under devices I only received the message: "Progressing." Can anyone, in the know, please assist?

When I charge my iPhone 6s using the Apple lightning cable, the charge percentage decreases sometimes. I bought a new cable (Apple certified Anchor cable) and I see the same behavior. Sometimes the percentage does not change. Eventually it does get charged but only after pressing hard or jiggling the cable.
Any ideas where the issue might be?

Hi folks its Carlos,
I just got my Iphone 6s a few days ago.
Its my second Iphone.
So I was wondering when I press the home button sometimes I have to press it twice before it goes to home.
I can't tell if its because I'm not pressing hard enough or could it be not working correctly.
I have it in an otterbox defender case.
My iphone 6 did not have that problem it was an easier press.
And it doesn't happen all the time.
Also I find that the charging port seams easier to put the plug in than the iphone 6.

I am fully blind and currently own an iPhone 6. I am looking to upgrade to the new 6S or 6 S plus phone but I am wondering if other fully blind people who have to completely rely on voiceover find the 6 plus easier to use than the smaller 6? I really don't want a bigger phone but if it works easier or better for people who are fully blind, I would get the larger phone. Please respond with advice or opinions.
Thanks!
