Does anyone know if there is such a thing as a perkins style bluetooth keybord for the IPhone? I currently have the hable1 and I like it but typing braille with the keys in a vertical fassion instead of a perkins style layout is going to take some getting use to. If there is one thing I would change about the hable1 so far it would be that. Perhaps they designed it that way because of the size.
Thanks,
Troy

Hi Everyone.

I am visually impaired and work with software development / machine learning.
I would like to dedicate some time to create open source ML-based applications for the blind.

Do you know if there is a smart glass with camera support which I could capture the camera stream and process the video in my custom application?

I read that the new Meta glasses could livestream to facebook and instagram. However I am not sure if I could create a custom app to get the data.

I would appretiate any help/ideas.

Hi guys. I just got a HomePod. When I set it up, it was using the Siri voice, but it was still running the first ever release for HomePod. After updating it, voiceover just plain broke. I had to reset the HomePod, and when it came back, voiceover was using Samantha compact. Is this expected behavior?

Hi all,

Has anyone notice that the HookeAudio app is still up on the AppStore? for me I did. the app hasn't been updated since December 2020. here's the bad news: their main sight is gone. On the other hand, their twitter is still up, but hasn't been updated since December 2020.

I remembered we all used to receive updates from Anthony and the rest of the team, but it has recently been completely quiet. Is this the end? I still have the Hooke Verse, which I no longer use. so I'm just wondering.

good evening everyone,

I am using an iPhone XR with the latest version of IOS. I am having truble with Bluetooth speakers cutting out randomly when streaming Netflics or Disney Plus. Things are just fine when I have content that is already downloaded on my phone and the problem is when I try to watch something when streaming.
I have a Bose Soundlink Color II and a Mini Soundlink.
Does anyone else have this kind of issue. I'm not sure if this is an IOS bug or something with my wifi.
Any help would be appreciated. Many, many thanks.
Jason

For the last couple of days, I've noticed a very troubling issue with my phone's battery. I have it plugged in, and its still losing charge. Yesterday, I plugged it in when the battery was around fifty percent. When I used my phone a few hours later, it had dropped to 47 percent, even though it was on the charger. Just a few minutes ago, I went to check the notifications and found that my phone was at 99 percent, also on the charger. Doe anybody know what could be causing this issue, and more importantly, how I can fix it?

I recently purchased bluetooth speakers made by Inateck. While I've been pleased with the sound and performance, I do have one nagging issue. When VoiceOver talks over the speakers, there seems to be a fraction of a second delay in connecting. As a result, the first syllable is often lost. Is this a common problem? I've searched AppleVis but haven't seen this problem mentioned.

I am usingh IOS 9.1 on an IPhone 6S+. I paired my new Keys2Go Bluetooth Keyboard to the phone and was able to use Quick Nav etc. Trouble is that, when I try to type into edit fields, for example, creating text messages, characters typed are often repeated, spaces are missed out and, in general, the message is unintelligibal. Is there any way to sort this, in order that I can use the keyboard to enter text more easily to my IPhone, for texting, Notes, WORD etc? If there is a workaround, could someone on here please give step-by-step instructions?

Hello. I'm having difficulty getting my MacBook Pro 2015 to allow a second headset through an aggregate device. I have set the aggregate device up through Audio/midi setup, and selected the headsets, including checking the drift option.. When I move to the sound preferences, and select the aggregate as the output and input, I get sound from only 1 headset. I am using a Logitech headset and a G-force gaming headset connected to the Mac with a USB hub. I am running the latest version of High Sierra.

Hello, so I am facing a bit of a dilemma. I have an Amazon echo. And while I like it. I am strongly considering purchasing a HomePod. Especially because I am very deep into the Apple ecosystem. The question that I have is, is it worth the $300 that Apple is asking for? I do like how it sounds. Because I saw a demo at my local Apple store. So I definitely would like some opinions from people who have one. Or from people that I’ve ordered the new one but Apple released this week. All comments are welcome.

hi all, I just bought a jawbone era headset from amazon and got it for forty dollars, and got it yesterday. the problem I now have is 1, when i go to my bluetooth settings and turn on bluetooth, it sees a previous speaker i pared with and yes, I have told my iPhone to forget the previous bluetooth speaker, but it still shows up in my list of devices. 2, my era headset will not show up at all what so ever in the list of devices even though it is turned on. my 5s says things like in progress, and now discoverable but no headset, just the speaker which I have told the iPhone to forget.

posting for responses from other owners of the JBL boombox three speaker. I have used JBL charge speakers in the past and have been able to accessibly read the battery status through the JBL connect app, I believe this has changed in name to JBL portable. When I look at the boombox three speaker, I see an accessible way to change the EQ settings, as well as update the firmware, and device information, but unfortunately am not finding an accessible way to read battery status.

I just bought these speakers, and the sound is great. However, I cannot figure out how to create stereo.

There seems to be two modes: party boost, and independant.

If they are in party boost, then when you go to the app and click "create stereo", the create button is disabled. In this mode both speakers are on, but seems to be mono.

If Apple's claims are true, you should be able to seamlessly switch between your various devices when using one of their W1 headphones (AirPods, BeatsX and Powerbeats3)

So, if you are listening to music on your iPhone, pause playback, and start plain music on your MacBook, the headphones should automatically switch to the Mac. If you then receive a call on your iPhone, the headphones should switch back to that.

This all sounds great.
