I have an IPhone 6 S with current software. I use Aftershokz Blues 2 S. I couldn't have been happier with its performance until today. I can hear phone calls fine but can't use Voiceover or listen to music with these headphones. Can anybody tell me what's going on or how I might solve this problem?

Thank You,

Mike Hanson

First of all, I should say that I’m running the second version of the AirPods, an iPhone 11 and an Apple watch 6 running iOs 14.4 and Watch OS 7.3. I’m having problems with phone calls with my AirPods. Most of the time, I’m listening to audio, mostly audio from audible or occasionally music. When the phone starts to vibrate, I don’t necessarily hear my ring. Even if I tap the AirPod to answer the phone, I don’t hear any noise. Sometimes, this happens even if I’m not answering a call. I found that it’s almost impossible to make a phone call using the AirPods.

I recently updated my 5th generation iPod to iOS eight. Since that time, when ever I use my Blue Tooth keyboard, I noticed A serious bug. I can use the arrow keys to move around the screen, but the letters do not show up in the text field. this is a problem in every type of text field, whether it be sending emails, messaging, or wordprocessing. I even disabled pridictive help. Then, I turn voiceover off. The letters began to appear in the text field as I typed. It seems that voiceover is interfering with my ability to use my Bluetooth keyboard. any suggestions, other then reset my iPod.

I received a new rii bluetooth keyboard with backlight on friday, I knew this keyboard worked well with voice over thanks to many comments I've read on applevis and other places. My wife has one as well and I had no problem working with it on my phone or Ipod However, I'm thinking I might have set some kind of mode I can't get out of on the new one, I can get the roader to work but none of the voice over commands work at all. The keyboard seems to work ok, I'm not sure if there is a way I can reset it back to default or what I need to do to fix things, any help would be appreciated.

I got a set of airpods a couple weeks ago and I love them. I find automatic ear detection to be unreliable and, once I turned that off, they work great with my iPhone 6S. However, I have problems when trying to use them with my 2015 MacBook Pro. I go to the extras menu, go to bluetooth, select my AirPods in the drop down menu, and hit connect. Sometimes, they connect and work just fine. Sometimes, they connect and I get very choppy audio. Sometimes, they connect and I get VO sounds but no speech. Sometimes, they won't connect at all.

Hi, I have an iPhone 5 s and for some reason I notice that when I am charging it and trying to use my phone whether it be for reading or facebook or whatever, when ever I swipe or flick it seems to skip or jump around or just doesn't work. When I unplug the charger from the phone it works. Any tips? Thanks Lelia

I’m considering buying the SE iPhone 2020. For me the home button is a requirement. My sighted husband & I were to share a X-ray iPhone; I haven’t touched the thing in more than a year & it starts with unlocking it. I have an iPad which I use daily & frequently, but I think I’d get better use of an iPhone for scanning. There are so many apps for accessing print information I feel like I’m missing the access train. Love to hear other vo users thoughts.

I’m not sure if this is even the right place to put this, so feel free to move it if it isn’t. I want a new Mac. I’m debating between the M1 and M2 pro. I’m also debating on getting one with the Touch Bar. Given the fact that I have an Apple keyboard with numeric keypad, I feel that I wouldn’t be missing anything if I got one with the Touch Bar. Now, as the subject states, what are the pros and cons of a Touch Bar in my case, given the fact that I have the aforementioned Apple keyboard which has the function keys already. :-)

I'm having proximity issues with my iPhone 5 16 GB. It's as bad as it was with the iPhone 4. In fact, it's even worse, I can't make a call at all that isn't on speakerphone. I think this is a hardware issues and my carrier have already agreed to ship me a replacement in three weeks! But I'm curious to find out if anyone else has this issue? JT

This post is in response to articles I'm seeing with battery drain issues after the iOS 15.2 update. If your iPhone usually gets a day or more of battery life and it's suddenly draining a lot quicker than it usually does, it could be your Apple Watch, if you have one. I've noticed that every couple of weeks or so since I got the Watch Series 7 last Nov, something starts savaging my iPhone 13 Pro Max battery; where I'm usually able to go 3 days easy with light use, it starts draining 25% or more in an 8 hour period.

Hi all. Hopefully this will be ok to post, I'll keep it short. I'm considering purchasing a portable bar code scanner. However, I in theory already have this on my phone, using digit-eyes, red laser and I forget the other one that i use. My point is, one of the reasons for the purchase would be the viewing area of the omnidirectional scanner. i find myself having a very difficult time showing the camera to the barcode on almost anything with the phone. The viewing area of a larger window does seem to help a lot. I'm not discounting the apps, clearly this is my error.

Hi all,
I'm due an upgrade and was thinking of moving from iPhone 8 to 11 or 11pro. However, before I do two quick questions. Is it worth as a totally blind person going for the pro? I seem to think I read that really the pro is more for camera use and therefore not really of much use to a blind person? second, I believe there is no home button on the 11 so from the box how would I manage to turn on VO so that I could set the phone up? Or, do you need sighted help to start off the process. Any help appreciated.

Hello Friends, One of my friend is using IPhone 5S. he is into music, and so has to store lots of music/media files. He want's to know what can be the best external storeage option he can go for so that he can backup his music and also access the same from his IPhone whenever required. He doesn't have any laptop/desktop. Are the wireless harddrives a good option? are the apps of such harddrives accessible with voiceover? Please provide your suggestion.

I have setup my Trekz bluetooth headphones to be paired with both my iPhone 6s and my MacBook using the multipoint facility of the Trekz. For the most part they work well, but switching audio between the iPhone and Mac isn’t always as seamless as I would wish. For example, the Trekz correctly switched to my Mac when I sat down to write this post, but there was no output from VoiceOver through either the Trekz or my Mac’s speaker. I ended up opening iTunes and started playing some music to get the Trekz working as expected.

Hi all, I just got my new airpods today because of being fed up with wired headphones either breaking or lightning ones having very poor companion apps in terms of accessibility.

I am thinking of replacing my iPhone 8. Will I be able to do some iOS upgrades if I get an SE third GEN? Will it go beyond iOS 16?

Hi I recieved a bluetooth speaker for Christmas. I was wondering if it is possible to make it so that voiceover comes out of my phone and the music comes out of the speaker? I don't know if something like this is possible but thought I'd ask.

If I'm writing on Bluetooth keyboard then it changes the words even if Auto-Correction is turned off. How to get rid of it?
