Apple Hardware and Compatible Accessories

Post Date:

Hello,

I was reading some of the other comments regarding HA'S I am wondering if anyone has purchased any of the microphones in Accessories in order to connect your laptop?

I have a Macbook Pro and I know that it is not possible to directly connect the laptop to the hearing aids at this point.
I was looking at the accessories and trying to figure out which one might be the best option.

Thanks

Hi all,

I have a nokia 9 pure view which is showing its age and I am planning to return to an iPhone. I am considering the iPhone 13 or the iPhone 13 mini. I'll probably go for the iPhone 13 because of the better battery. I love the form factor of the mini though.

I just got this keyboard case today, and wanted to let you all know about it, discuss both the good and the bad.
We’ll start out with the good.

The left air pod = L AP is working & charging just fine; the right Air pod = R AP is not working ie. no audio. The R AP Has a solid green light when alone in charger. On battery info from today screen R AP is in red with ! And no audio. This I know due to sighted hubby. I have disconnected the air pods from my ipad, Via blue tooth settings then re-connected; result was l A P connected and right displayed in red with ! plus audio of R AP not connected - no change. I’m wondering if I might have muted the R AP or something equally bazaar. Any suggestions much appreciated.

Hi guys, Does anyone have this issue with bluetooth keyboards? The right arrow key stops working but when it’s on charge, it works just fine. The weird thing is I can take it off the charger and it will work for a while but then stop working again. All of the other keys work perfectly on or off the charger. Just the right arrow stops. I’ve reset the keyboard dozens of times and it still does it. I’ve even told my device to forget the device and then pare it again. I’m using a new ipad that I just got for Christmas. I have a mini already but my dad wanted to get me a new one.

Hi guys.
Forgive me this is my first post, so I hope I don't break any rules.
I'm a big fan of the Rii slim keyboard and have used it with the iphone quite successfully. However, recently my keyboard broke and I ordered a new one. The control key works, in that it flashes, but none of the functions. I don't know why this is, I know the keyboards have been updated to bluetooth 4. and I'm using this with the iphone5c. It is frustrating beyond belief. I'm wondering if anyone can shed some light on this.

As recently as 18 months ago or so, I had my ancient Airplay Express operating as an airplay destination without a hitch. Apple had updated it with Airplay 2. But when I went to reconnect it after a long hiatus and put it on a new router, I couldn't get it to connect to HomeKit, though I was able to do my other third-party speakers that likewise lack homekit codes. Worse still, when I airplayed to it, it grabbed VO's speech. When I managed to get audio destination back to default, the VO volume kept spiking up and down with each swipe. Tried this a few times.

Hello everyone today I’m going to be reviewing the iPhone 6s Plus.
The iPhone 6s Plus was released on September 9, 2015 Apple hey Siri event in Cupertino in the United States of America?
This event introduced devices like the new Apple TV,, the new iPad Pro, as far as I know the fourth generation, iPad mini, and this phone that we’re talking about small army person the iPhone 6s
Maybe I’m missing out on more, but it also includes macOS 10.11, iOS 9, tvOS nine and watch os.
But the day we are here to talk about one product only.

I am looking for a rowing machine that I can control using an app on my iPhone.

A friend suggested the Hydrow rowing machine and I installed the app. However, although I could see all elements with Voiceover, I couldn't find a way of controlling the rower through the app or even connecting the app to the rowing machine.

I am wondering if there are other alternatives that people might suggest for a rowing machine that can be used by someone who is blind, possibly controlled via an iPhone or Apple Watch app.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Firmware with Apple seems to be like playing Russian Roulette with your product. From all the posts I read, some have ruined noise cancelation, some have made it better. Apple gives no guidance in this area because you can't refuse the updates, and they won't tell you what's in them. If I hadn't gotten a YouTube notification that the Airpods Pro and 2nd gen had just been updated, I would not have known. Since this latest update I have noticed a definite change in the sound while on phone calls and FaceTime Audio.

Hey all, I'm currently looking for a scanner that would work nicely with Mavericks and Prizmo. I've already tried my luck with a Plustek MobileOffice scanner, but this turned out to be a great mess unfortunately... I made sure to check for Mac compatibility before purchasing, and the website did state that OS X was supported... However, when I received the device, I couldn't find any OS X drivers on the CD, and my Mac would not recognise the scanner without any kind of software.

Hey all, Yes, I know this topic has been written about a lot, but I still haven't found the answers I am looking for. I have never had a scanner, and don't find any of the Iphone OCR apps work to my liking. I am looking to get a scanner specifically to read my mail to me. I am using an iMac, and there seem to be a billion scanners out there. Would love some advice and suggestions on what I should focus on when buying one, as the prices seem to vary from $50 all the way up to the 100's. 1. Is connecting through your home network or bluetooth better? 2.

This accessory could really help the blind with OCR Apps. This little box turns your smartphone into a scanner http://accesstechnews.blogspot.com/2012/06/this-little-box-turns-your-smartphone.html

Hello all,
I just purchased KNFB Reder this week due to it being on sale. What scanning stand would be good to use with the 6+?

Just got my SE3, and it is working incredibly well. I already have iOS 18 public beta installed, and wow, I've never been able to text as fast as I can now, between BSI turning on automatically and also just seeming to be more accurate. But, one thing I'm trying to figure out is, does part of this come down to there being a screen protector on my old iPhone 8, and not having one on the SE? Is it just because the SE is a better phone, or can a screen protector really make that much of a difference? Or is BSI in iOS 18 just that much more stable?
