Hi guys,
There's a very interesting article that I'd like to show you guys. The article is written by slashdot, and if you want to have access to the full report, I also provided the link to that as well.
In 2018, broadcomm will be producing chips that are accurate to 30 centimeters, even in urban areas. This will be a huge leap from the current 5 meters accuracy that we currently have in our phones.
Please note though, This sort of gps accuracy has been a thing since a very long time ago, but not in our smartphones.

Hi, there are lots of swimming apps out there, does anyone know if they are accessible? I now have a waterproof case with arm band and want an app that can lap counbt and calculate average speed. Thanks for any info.
Mark.
Hi, I'd like to be able to listen to a podcast on my Iphone 10s while swimming. It seems like there are some waterproof headphones out there, but I don't know what the voiceover latency is like. I wish my airpods pro were waterproof! Even if I get the headphones, I would need a case and I'm not sure which one to get. I see that there are also waterproof mp3 playersbut I'm not sure about the accessibility of those either. Has anyone solved this problem?
I have a new 12 mini, and, so far, I am not happy with it. it seems to have haptics for everything. I think I know where to find how to shut the haptics off. The main question I have is about swiping up. It seems that I have to press really hard as I’m swiping to get the tones to sound. Also, when I am trying to close an app, I have to turn the phone upside down and shake it turn it right side up and then, sometimes, find the swipe up spot. Is this the way it is supposed to be, or, am I making it too hard?
Hello all,
I have a client I'm working with who has no sight and is slowly losing the use of her hands (it is now very painful for her to type)
She is looking to upgrade as she wants to use her voice more, although Siri will help her with certain tasks it obviously won't do everything.
Hi:
I want to switch from my outdated and arthritic windows machine to a MacBook Pro. My question is, which Mac model should I buy? I noticed that several people here have Mac 2013, which I know can be gotten rather cheaply from Amazon. Would it be worthwhile to invest in a Mac 2013 or should I try for a more up to date model? I'm interested in using Mojave and my computer update cycle is generally a computer every five years or so. So I want a system that will get MacOS updates at least for the next five years.
Hi, I'm switching from the iPhone SE original to the second generation. What can I expect to be different or better on the new phone? I just received it but have not yet started the process of changing over to the new one. anything I need to know before diving in? Thanks, Lou
Is there no way to do this? The equivalent of a four-finger right or left swipe? I've seen references to cmd-tab but that doesn't work for me.
Hi all,
wondering if anyone is using a synology or QNAP NAS with Mac or iOS? I need to purchase a NAS and am wondering which is better in terms of accessibility. Synology has some good documentation on their site but it's very much windows-based as it suggests a set-up based on NVDA.
thanks for any information.
Good Monday to all! Thanks for reading. I realize this post is a bit an off-the-wall topic, but I was just wondering?
Has anyone seen, or no of a case for a tablet, tablet may range between 10 and 12 inches, in in the exterior top of the lid when the case is closed, there’s a hardware keyboard visible and accessible for input?
Hello, I am considering getting a tactile screen protector for my ipad from A T guys. I was wondering if anyone has one and if it really helps find the buttons. Do you feel that the dot on every letter on the keyboard is too cluttered? I know for the ipad they only have one layout but for the phone they have a standard and an advanced layout. Also, do you think I should order a protector for an iphone even though I don't have one but I am looking into getting one soon. I already know I want the 6 or 6s.
Hi everyone. I have a question about SpeedDots and Apple’s 10.2 iPad and 10.5 iPad Air. For the past several years, the most popular iPads had 9.7 inch screens. Will SpeedDots make screen protectors for these new sizes? Or will it be deemed unnecessary because all iPad models now support the Smart Keyboard? Apple is making a lot of changes very quickly, and it’s a bit overwhelming.
Do anyone know of a talking printer? If so, would you please provide some information.
Thank you so much.
Hi everyone. I bit the bullet and got the iPhone 12. I’m hugely impressed with it. But what really stood out for me, was the strength of the Taptic feedback, mainly when typing but throughout the hole experience. I was wondering if you all have experienced this, or is it just me being over sensitive? Also if it’s not just me, how did that happen?
I am looking for pointers to information that's likely already here on Applevis or elsewhere on the net.
I'm a Windows person but I've wanted to learn the Mac for a while. I've played with the voiceover tutorial on a lab computer but that's about it. I am a very experienced iDEVICE user.
As a technology enthusiast, I’ve been sitting here thinking about which one to purchase. I’ve seen plenty of unboxing and reviews and of course some issues with the iPhone 15 Pro line. I’m leaning towards more of the iPhone 15 pro. I would like to get some feedback from other individuals who have purchased the iPhone 15 Pro to see if you were having problem of overheating and bad battery and things like that. Thank you!
I got airpods pro today and 0the soound is amazing. I cannot get the touch controls to work though. Nothing I do works. I am using them with an iPhone.
Its just a patent at this point so no telling if it will ever materialize, but you can bet I’m sticking with PCs if Apple switches to a touch keyboard on their laptops. That’s fine for phones and tablets but I need physical, tactile keys when typing on a computer. What are your guys’ thoughts?

Hey everybody.
I was on here years and then stopped because I didn't have any Apple devices. I've gotten an iPhone XR. I am looking for headphones, and good holy gods, let the troubles begin!
Right now I'm running Sennheiser HD25 Light headphones into a 3.5 to lightning adapter. That works fine, except for two major issues.
1. If I have music going at a decent level, they don't really let me hear a lot of what's going on around me.
