I'm amazed that after 8 years of iPHONE use, I cannot figure this out. I'm going to call in to a meeting on Tuesday when I'm riding in a noisy vehicle. I want to keep myself on mute until my input is requested.
I tried calling myself, using my desk phone to call my iPHONE so I could play around with the call screen. According to numerous articles on the web the "call screen" appears when you are on a live call and there's a mute button on this screen.
Alright
So
Today I was with my support worker and we were getting directions to a shop,
So I asked Siri to get directions, all that Jazz
Finally I give up on using Siri since it doesn’t wanna work, so I go onto the Apple maps app search up the address and I start my roots in the car
As we’re travelling along, I have my Spotify playlist on.
Somewhere over the line I find a song I don’t like, so I attempt to go to the next button whilst on my lock screen, but nope, I can’t find it. And here is my reason.
So I came back to Apple music again and usually I can access my playlists from there but now I can no longer see my playlists. Apple Music is on and I know this because I tried to play a few songs and they all worked. Where are my playlists?
I thought my Logitech keyboard and Zagg keyboards both had their own internal caps lock function, independent of iOS. This causes the caps lock to ingauge with a single press of the key when using it as the VO modifier, and I have to press it a second time to turn off the caps every time I used a VO key command. The thinking being, the keyboard doesn't know it's being used as the VO key. This has been the case since the function was added a while back, and makes the single-key modifier not so useful because I lose track of whether the caps are locked or not.
My twin brother Larry doesn't have a profile set up with Applevis so I'm sending this problem along. He can download iOS 11.03 but when it comes time to install, he gets a message saying cannot install iOS 11.03. What are his options at this point? going back is probably not available for him. He is currently using iOS 11.02. thank You!
I'm posting to share what ChatGPT integration image descriptions reminds me of. It reminds me of the Picture Smart AI feature in JAWS. I would say thank you Apple for doing that. For anyone that doesn't the requirements. You need to have a iPhone 15 Pro Max or later. It is not supported on earlier iPhones. You need to be runing iOS 18.2 or later.
Happy new year! I hope this year is a good one for you all.
I would like to share my experience trying Door detection and people detection in iOS 16.
As of yesterday, I recently got a chance to play with my cousins iPhone 13 Pro Max. I was able to put both Door Detection and People Detection in iOS 16 through its paces.
Throughout my experience trying out the features, Voiceover was able to tell me how far or close the person/door is.
I'm a bit late to the party, but I just used the Be My Eyes app for the very first time, and I'm very glad I did! I had actually gotten it right when the app came out, but hadn't needed to use it until just a bit ago. I own a Windows 7 64-bit pc, and for whatever reason, it locked up, and it wouldn't reboot. It kept coming to an error screen and I didn't know what to do. I have enough vision that I can tell it was an error message, because the background color of the screen was different than the screen I'm used to. So, what to do?
After being on iOS 18 for a while I wanted to share my experiences.
The biggest feature I like is that you can now use your device just like if you are using a Braille display. To do this, you Double-tap the far edges until you hear VoiceOver say, "Braille Screen Input" once you hear that, swipe right with three fingers and VoiceOver will say, "Command Mode." Once you hear that, you can enter Braille Chords as if you were using a Braille Display.
Anyone else have different experiences with the new iOS 18 update?
Hi all,
I have been looking for apps that would allow me to broadcast live streams from my iPhone 5, and I stumbled upon this app. I think that it has the potential to be a cool and simple solution for blind and visually impaired users who wish to record a podcast/live broadcast on the go or over Wifi.
Hello.
I wrote some feedback to apple reguarding new ideas for speach synthisizers for the iphone. Please read this, and let me know if sounds like some good ideas.

Hello.
I was wondering if its possible to add a few speach synthisizers to voice over in the next ios release.
The first speach synthisizer I would like to bring to your attention is Alex for the mac. I have used a mac, and really love the Alex voice that comes standard with voice over for the mac. It is verry easy to understand, and it works well with voice over.
Ever since the app store opened, I've had my HP-12C emulator on the store and it always said button button button when voiceover was turned on. App development being a business and all, the number of potential additional customers I'd gain by adding accessibility is... kinda small. Because you pretty much had to learn to use this thing in school. And have been able to remain in the financial field in spite of your vision. And have an iPhone. And need an emulator.
But I decided that what the heck, it doesn't matter if it sells or not--it's a good thing to do anyway.
Hello! I am madhusudan I am the new user of I-phone, recently I had bought I-phone 8 I am shifted to I-phone from an android phone. I like the I-phone due to its best accessibility feature for the blind.
Hi all, I am a new Iphone user. I love my Iphone and I owe a bunch of gratitude to you guys for teaching me how to setup and use my 5c out-of-the-box. I really like the point that one can place a finger on a letter or number and with a free finger tap anywhere on the screen to add to edit field. Being a total, I really enjoy using tap tap see. So, keep it up guys and girls, you are really helping.
Your friend,

It seems like it would be useful to be able to disable the touch screen in a variety of situations. Two of the most common are the situation where you want to type on a braille or QWERTY keyboard and leave the phone in your pocket. Unfortunately, it is too easy to accidentally touch the screen and throw you out of place.
Another good example is using the "Read All" command to read an article. It would be nice to then put the phone in your pocket and move about, but it is, again, too easy to accidentally touch the screen.
Hi all,
I am having the issue where when using my ipad with voiceover in an edit field the onscreen keyboard does not appear. I have turned off Bluetooth, restarted and reset the device, updated the software and have not been able to fix it. Voice over states quick nav on and quick nav off but with no solution. I have not ever connected an external keyboard to this ipad before so do not know what the reason for this is. Can anyone provide a solution?
Hi. After upgrading to iOS 7.0.3, my iPhone 5 occasionally locks up for no reason at all, and I'm not sure why. There is a fix though. Hold down your home and screen lock buttons simultaneously for about 10 to 15 seconds and the phone will reboot and all should work just fine. It's done this 3 or 4 times since I upgraded, and I hope Apple can fix this bug.
