iOS and iPadOS

Hello,
I was wondering which setting you guys prefer to use when using Face ID attention. I have tried both, and find it when I'm trying to purchase things from the iTunes store, I think you have trouble getting it recognizing my face when I have the attention settings turn to on. I know that is less secure to turn them off, but since it is usually off by the fall on voiceover is on and you're setting up Face ID, this still seems to be a viable option.
Have any of you found either one more useful? Thanks for your information and help.

I’ve downloaded a few e-books from Amazon onto my iPad kindle app and I’m really not enjoying listening to voice-over reading the pages I’m wondering if there is another way of listening to an e-book e.g Voice Dream Reader etc. Looking Forward to hearing your suggestions and advice on how to do so

It seems I ran across a tip a while back about how to scroll several pages at once when looking at long lists of items.
For instance, there is a podcast I listen to called Stuff You Should Know, that has like 500 entries, and it takes forever to get through the list to the earlier recordings by doing the three finger swipe up technique.
So, is there a better way to do this when you want to jump many pages at once?
I seem to remember you had to double tap and hold down then swipe or something, but no combination I use here is doing the trick.

Hi all, I am wondering if there is an email list, RSS feed , twitter account or something we can subscribe to that would let us know when a new version of iOS 8 is out that handles at least some of the major bugs with accessibility.

So I'm just having a few small issues but I don't know if they're really problems or if their features of the new iOS.
The first is that whenever I swipe up with two fingers to go to the top of the page, I hear the click twice rather than once, a small thing but still a bit annoying.
Another issue is that now the show bookmarks and share buttons sometimes voice-over will say toolbar in front of them which is a bit distracting I don't know if this is built into the iOS or if there is a way to turn it off.

I don't know if it's just me, but when using VoiceOver on YouTube im experiencing a problem navigating through comments.
Previously, I could view the replies to any comment on YouTube by clicking the button, for example if a comment had 14 replies I would double tap the 14 replies button and I'll be able to see them all.
But that no longer seems to be the case.
Is anyone else having this problem?

I just associated two contacts via the Contact App on my iPhone. I cannot change the relation between these contacts. Is it possible to dissociate contacts that have been related using this method. Currently, I see only the two email address in the «Related contacts» section of the contact screen.

I'm a french canadian user. It is possible that I use wrong labels to describe the situation. Please contact me in this forum, if yo need additional explanations.

Hi I am interested in learning Chinese but I’m having trouble because I cannot find an app that’s accessible with voiceover for me to learn that language. I had Duolingo and whenever I finished a lesson it tells me please select pictures with fruits and I cannot do that. So is there another app where I could learn Chinese or other languages besides the app that I’ve mentioned?

Hello all. I hope that I am posting in the right area. I am a massage therapist, preparing to open up my own massage therapy practice, and am in search oF an online scheduling software that is accessible with voiceover. I need it to be accessible for not only my clientele, but for myself as well, to be able to manage my business on my end of the software. I was wondering if there were any massage therapists on here who have any suggestions for me, and wondering what you all use for your online scheduling? Thank you all so much for your help.

Hello everyone, I seen an accessible stock application that was posted on Applevis in 2014. I would like to know if that is the most accessible application up-to-date. Also the application cost $15 I would like to know if the accessibility still remains the same way, before I even purchased the application. If there's any application that someone is using to check the stock market and to invest in the stock market that is very accessible kindly let me know thank you. I look forward to your reply thank you

Alchemy mobile has been my go to music creation app ever since I discovered it. It has been the easiest to use most responsive and the most voiceover friendly music creation application that I've used on any platform. I was very unhappy and sad to find the Apple purchased camel audio and that they would know longer be updating their software you can't even buy it anymore.
I was filled with anxiety each time there was an iOS update hoping my beloved alchemy would continue to work. It was always a great relief when I found out it still was performing as before.

One problem which I’ve come across on iOS 11 on my iPad Air is what is called the shake to undo feature.
The feature was only supposed to work on iPhones so there is no way of disabling it in the iPad settings.
The feature means that you don’t have to press the lock button to open an iPhone, you can just lift or shake or move your device and it will turn on automatically however this can be quite annoying for me as I like to carry my iPad around with me and constantly having to lock it is annoying.

I’m having an issue with iBooks in iOS 11 .2 .5 while using voice-over, while the issue is difficult to explain, I’ll do my best.
Sometimes, when I open the iBooks app, voice-over will give me access to the text of the book but won’t allow me to access the other menu options such as library search and page numbers. When it is in this state, swiping across the screen doesn’t do anything.
When this happens, I have to close down the iBooks app and reopen it, and the issue is solved.
Just wondering if anyone else is having this issue.

The problem with listening to them in the Files app is that although it's accessible, I can only swipe forward 10% of the track which is okay for listening to songs but not so great with longer Files.
Ideally, what I'd like is an MP3 playing app that would allow me to skip forward 10 20 30 or 60 minutes, oh and one that doesn't use the Internet because I don't always have access to it.
If anyone has any recommendations, please let me know?
