I'd like to use extentions in safari, which came as part of ios 15/iPadOS 15.
I did some research, and figured out how to enabled extensions, once the associated app is installed.
However, my question is, once I have an extension enabled, how do I access it, from within Safari?
I went to check on my subscriptions today and discovered that I cannot access them. On all three of my phones, I get a pop-up button for app name which I can’t seem to tap and open, a button for price and a button for renewal date. Directly under that is a heading for Active subscriptions and then one for in active subscriptions. The only thing I can pull up is the Apple one subscription which I don’t have but I cannot pull up any of the ones that I do have. I would’ve not discovered this today except I needed to double check on one that I had just ordered today from MLB..
Okay, i just tried accessing music within iOS 12 today, and found I can't access either the now playing button, if there is one anymore, or the player for accessing controls such as rewind and so forth. There's that button that is a bit inconsistent, the skip, or mini player button. Either way, it skips the track. I have Apple music which I'm subscribed to right now. Not sure if those added tabs might be creating confusion with voice over or what.
Is there a way to access the two feeds, those being music and podcasts and shows, with the recently updated Spotify app on iOS?
The reason I ask is because I want to see if I have the new DJ feature that just came out today and is available to premium users in the US and Canada.
I see the what's new feed and the content filter there to select music or podcasts, but there's also a content filter on the main home feed when you first open the Spotify app, which doesn't appear visible to VoiceOver.
Am I missing something?
Thanks.
The Today View in iOS used to be so convenient and easy to navigate until iOS 14. Now, the widgets make it harder to access the things I need, such as the Google Transit Departures widget. Do you have any tips for navigating this landscape with VoiceOver?
I got an iPod 4G a while back and was pleased to discover (through various accessibility podcasts) that one could independently (without sighted assistance) access VoiceOver by tapping its HOME button thrice rapidly. However, when I tried doing the same thing on a demo version of the iPhone 5 in an AT&T store, it inverted the color on the screen rather than accessing VoiceOver. How does one independently access VoiceOver on the iPhone 5? I would really like to be able to set up my iPhone independently!
Well, when you have an image send/shared to you in an instant messaging app like WhatsApp or SnapChat, you can usually use an app like Seeing AI, and in the future something like BeMyEyes to get an image describtion and respond appropriately. But is there any way to get a sense of what people put up as their statuses? There's no way to share these images with any recognition app, neither does VO give any kind of describtions. Anyone has any workaround or any tool to deal with this? Similar is the issue with instagram stories for example.
Hello,
I just found that the ID barcode scanner costs $900.99. Are there any scanners that are compatible, and if there are, could you recommend a link?
Thanks,
Darrell
Hi everyone,
I have a rather small, but also for me rather annoying, problem.
Because I use VoiceOver I have my earphones plugged into my iPhone almost all of the time, as not to bother everyone around me with the constant talking. Also, I often carry my phone around in my pocket. This leads to a problem.
Hi.
I've got a problem in the settings app.
I want to add my gmail to my ipad.
But when I type in my e-mail address and the password I just get back to the add accounts settings.
my account is not added.

Hi all,
So I'm currently using the action button on my new. iphone 15 pro max. I have listend to the podcast on customizing action button, and an interesting shortcut was called multibutton where you can assign more than 1 shortcut at the same time to the action button.
I downloaded the multibutton shortcut, but unfortunately not able to assign any shortcut. Although I have written the names of the shortcuts, it seems that there is another way of doing it. Has anyone tried it? or is there a tutorial that can be more clear to use it?
We've been working hard on making our new task manager & lists app - Actions by Moleskine - much more accessible. We'll be doing the same with our calendar app - Timepage - as soon as possible. (Links for both apps are at the bottom of this post)
Hello,
In iOS 8 in some 3rd party apps, there would sometimes be an item called "actions." As most of you know, you could swipe up and down while focused on an item to do actions like deleting or activating the item in question.
Hi, sorry if this may have been asked before...
I just got the new iPhone 12, and I must say, the VoiceOver's screen recognition feature is kind of cool. But, when I turned this feature on for apps, I can't seem to activate the on-screen controls, like buttons.
How do I activate these on-screen controls while keeping screen recognition enabled? Is there specific gestures I do need to perform in order to activate these on-screen controls?
Hello all. I have great luck using Ootunes on an iPhone or iPod Touch. However, when I use it on my iPad, it doesn't seem that VoiceOver activates any of the buttons. For example, when I double tap on the Sleep timer and timed recordings button, or even on the stop button while a stream is playing, nothing happens and nothing additional is viewable on the screen. Has anyone else seen this? Thanks.
Hi. I am trying to approve a notification I got from Amazon. It's in Messages. VoiceOver says a web address and then it says "link" but I'm not able to activate it with a double-tap. Any suggestions? I tried forwarding the message to my email address, but haven't got my email message. Thanks.
