Today periscope released a new update with voiceover support. I have not tried it yet but I did check the tabs and they are now labeled, I haven't tested the end broadcast button yet as I don't have anything to broadcast about to try it. Those of you who like myself that tweated/emailed the developers it looks like they are listening!

The subject field says it all. I am able to remove the widgits from the home screen, but if I reset my home screen, all of the widgits come back. How can I permanently get rid of them? Thanks in advance for your help.

How good is the Persian voice? Does it sound natural to a native speaker? If there's a Persian speaker who uses it with VoiceOver I'd love to hear your take. thanks.

So I had a weird situation happened to me regarding my Kindle library. I subscribe to Kindle Unlimited, and as such I tend to download four or five books at a time, read through them, and discard the ones I don't want to keep. Sometimes I will have a weird issue where the book is not screen reader compatible, and thus I cannot read it either using Alexa, or using voiceover via the Kindle app. This is rare, but it does happen now and again.

Hi all,
I am using an iPhone 5 with IOS 9.2.1. The problem is that my personal contacts have disappeared after synchronizing with iTunes on my home desktop. My contacts are setup as follows.
1. I have a Microsoft Exchange account configured. This is a work account.
2. I do not have anything else configured.
The default account was set to store contacts on the iPhone.
How do I recover my personal contacts?

For years, I have been looking for an iOS app that would allow me to have inteligent/smart crossfading. Remember Muxica? It tried and did all right, allowed for local music library. That app went away years ago.
Now . Meet IHeart Radio. which allows for near perfect A-I transitions, (much like Stationplaylist or terestrial radio listening)
And what's better ? It uses IHeart's streaming music service to pull tracks from, so you can have most any track available.
This is as close to the real track transitions deal, on iOS, as it currently gets.

hi all, so for those who use speechify, particularly in the UK, you can make now, it is in beta, your own voice in 15 seconds! you just read a small 4 sentence or so phrase and done! now i can share any article say, from google news, or apple news to Speechify and have myself read it. i will record a brief demo. It's amazing to hear it if i am honest. The other voices in Speechify, particularly the UK ones and nigeria for me, sound great! but my question is how is that voice so clear yet the apple personal voice is so tinny?

Does anyone know if the personal voice will work outside of the United States of America?
I live in the United Kingdom and as far as I know the only language I can select is English United States this would not really work for a British person as of course we have different accents and anyone tried this outside of the US.

In I O S 10, 10.02, the personalized ringtones are not working. They look selected, they play while selecting them, but when the contact is calling there is always only the default ringtone playing. Any clue? Thanks a lot.

How many of us here have downloaded an app that is not accessible with Voice over? I bet 99.99% have done that, right? Although we have the AppleVis web site to see if a certain app is accessible or not, it is still better to have the freedom to explore the app store without the thoughts of taking the risk of losing our money, right?

Very often when I unlock my phone, the phone app gets launched. I thought this was only happening to me but I've just read another blogg post on this site where its been mentioned. I am using IOS 5.1.1. Is there any fix for this annoying problem?

Hi, I have an iPhone xs. When I'm on phone calls and need to access the keypad or another feature like mute or speaker, the app runs incredibly slowly. For example, I had to dial into a conference call recently that asked you to enter in a pin to join. I had a really hard time entering in the pin on the phone keypad in a short enough time that it didn't time out. Any ideas how to get around this? Thanks.

For many years and iOS versions I’ve noticed that my phone will occasionally not fall asleep though the auto lock is set to 3 minutes and I would powered off and on the phone or do a hard reset to start things working again properly.
Just recently with the release of iOS 15 I noticed that when this happens if I triple tap the home button to turn voiceover off then triple tap again to put VoiceOver on low and behold the sleeping with auto lock works perfectly until the next time!

High, in the youtube app while I am watching a video, my phone will randomly vibrate. I am running ios 9.3.2 on an iPhone 5 s. why is my phone randomly vibrating? Thanks in advance for any help.

I recently updated my SE 2022 from iOS 16.7.2 to 17.2.1. Ever since then I've been having the following strange and annoying issue. I normally keep my phone locked. Sometimes, but not every time when a notification of any kind comes in, Voiceover starts reading it but then the phone goes back to sleep before the whole thing can be spoken. The speech cuts off in the middle of a word and the "screen locked" sound is played.

I have an SE running iOS 18. Earlier today, I tried to make a phone call, and Siri said something like cannot find a connection. I have never run into that before. After a lot of searching, the website for my carrier told me what to do. go to settings, cellular, and find cellular data. Turn that off and back on. Also, if you have a setting that says something like use this line, turn that off and back on also. That seemed to reset things, and everything is working fine now.
