Hi all. I noticed that since updating to the latest IOS, anything that does not use Voice over's voice, in my case Alex, I hear Fred. Apps that use this is ones like Identify, seeing AI and others. Is there any way to change that? I hate Fred with a fierce fiery passion.
iOS and iPadOS
Note to unlock all features a subscription or one time payment is required.
The prices are as follows:
One Month 99 cents.
One Year $9.99.
Lifetime $30.
This is worth it for the reasons below.
1 ooTunes is no longer updated. Also unless you do phone to phone transfer your OOTunes favorites may not transfer with you. You can't get a response from the developer if a stream stops working or you want a stream added.
2 Triode works on the following devices:
iOS
Apple TV
Mac.
iPad OS
I've seen a few people on AppleVis who are saying things that would imply that they feel no choice but to upgrade their devices to iOS 13, despite them feeling nervous about encountering the bugs that the AppleVis Editorial Team has helpfully compiled into lists for us.
In short, you don't have to update yet.
iOS 13.1, which will be released in a couple of days, still contains many bugs that VoiceOver users will experience, not to mention bugs in the operating system that you might encounter whether or not you use accessibility features.
for a strange reason it take my email a long time to arrive..what can I doo to fix it?
Hello:
I hope that this isn't a silly question, but does anyone know why my voiceover is reading punctuation and spacing in another English dialect? It has been since I upgraded to IOS 9.3. If anyone knows how to fix this I would really appreciate your help!
one can have rather granular configuration in settings > sounds, even different text tones for different persons, but no facetime specific tones, why? when someone calls, i want to know if the person is using FaceTime, so i don't inadvertently answer it when i am in a compromising position. this happened several times now i have to see what kind of call i'm getting before i answer it, even though the ringtone already tells me who is calling, this is not very productive.
The announcement yesterday about iPad OS sounds at least somewhat promising concerning making the iPad truly viable as a laptop replacement. At first, that got me kinda excited. Then, I started thinking about my motivation concerning why I would want to potentially replace my Macbook Pro with a iPad in the first place. That then then made me wonder about other people's motivations for wanting to do so.
hello everyone! this is Roman. as I said above, wich IOS, and mac text to speech voices are the best.
I used almost every voices on my iPhone, but I wanted to know from you all. thanks in advance!
Hi,
I installed the batteries widget so I could monitor the charge of my iPhone 7's battery case, my iPhone, and Apple Watch. I'm noticing however that although the headings show after looking at any widgets on the today view of notification center, if you dismiss it, and then go back to the today view again by bringing the notification center back and swiping to see them, the widget headings show, but no information shows on the widgets. The only way I've fount to get them back is by hitting edit, and then done. It shows only once though, and the cycle repeats.
Hello. I am running the latest IOs update on my iPad Pro 9.7 and am having a strange issue with safari or sometimes other browsers that VoiceOver restarts, so if I want to go to the first heading, it will start something, but then it just says āLandscape, screen curtain onā and I cannot do anything on the page. How do I solve this if there is a way. Sometimes it helps to restart my iPad or hard reset it but this is becoming tedius.
Hello all. Today, I have noticed a weird issue with siri. When using a wifi network, siri will come up when I press the home button, but after I speak my request, nothing happens. If I switch over to my data, siri works as it should. Here are the steps I've tried to fix this problem, and I still have the same result. One, I tried resetting the network settings. Two, I tried turning siri off and back on. Three, I tried resetting the router. I do have unlimited data, but I would prefer to stay on wifi if possible. I'm using an I-phone 5s, with the latest IOS installed.
I have been facing this issue for sometime now; wondering if anyone also faced it.
Before I tell you what is exactly happening I want you to know that this challenge was also experienced with IOS 14.4.1 and earlier. I have 2 changes in the settings for BackTap; double tap to turn WiFi off and tripple tap to turn BlueTooth off. In order to perform these gestures to work; phone should not be locked by which I mean it should be in wake mode or unlocked.
Hi all. On my six S plus, I enabled wifi calling as our cell coverage isn't great. Yesterday out of nowhere, I noticed my bars said LTE. Thinking nothing, I reconected. This morning I had a good chat with a friend. Just a few minutes ago, my Mac told me, something along the lines of wifi calling can't be enabled on this account, contact carrier. I just updated to IOS 10.3 and would really like to not have to call if I don't have too. I reset network settings, I also reset the phone with home and power.
Hello, groovy Apple people. I am running IOS 16.2 on an iPhone 14 Pro. However, before my pro arrived, I saw this happen with my old 11 Pro. When I go to the Today View, to the left of the Very first page with Weather, clock, camera, all that jazz, I have wigits. The battery wigit reads great, the first newswigit reads great, everything after that though, it's all bullets. That's what I see in braille, and I think the speech says, Actions available. It appears to me as if VoiceOver is seeing these wigits as a series of images. What can I do?
Hi
I heard about this app on appfind and I want to know if its accessible. Its a wikipedia reader. I was looking on applevis but I don't know what happened to the apps that were there. It is free, I know that, but if someone could submit an entry in the directory, that be cool.
Is there a way to read Wikipedia articles with VoiceOver so that voiceover will not constantly say that there is a link? A Wikipedia app that only displayed straight text would do the trick. Speak Screen achieves this but it will read the entire Wikipedia article without letting you start reading a particular part of the article. Another solution would be to have the ability to set VoiceOver not to verbalize links.
If someone has a solution I would love learning about it. Thanks.
