Since unlucky13 one can no longer check a bluetooth devices battery in the statis bar, why did apple get rid of this? I think they need to bring it back.

I founboth of minor bug in a major bug with the App Store. The minor bug is that I can only display so many results, and I hit bottom. Scrolling doesn't take me to the next set of apps, and I don't see any other way to get there. The really big bug though is that the price for an app is no longer listed… All I see is a button with the work yet. This is very disconcerting!

I use VoiceOver with my iPhone 6 all the time.
Sometimes, however, I hand my phone to a sighted person and turn off VoiceOver so that they can use it.
For some reason I have not been able to figure out, when a sighted person enters text into an edit field using the on-screen keyboard, the phone speaks back each word as it is entered. This occurs even when VoiceOver is turned off.
I've written to Apple Accessibility to ask what setting might be responsible but they didn't know and told me to speak to a support specialist.

When i type on my iphone or ipad when using voiceover it says each letter then underscore. How do i stop this?

Hi all. Using IOS15.4.1 and just recently, when I search for updates, it crashes. It goes back to the home screen but the app switcher says it's still "active". Has anyone else had this happen? Using Spectrum mobile for cell service and wifi. It happens whether or not i'm on wifi. Any reason this happens? Annoying as hell because I can't search for updates.

Hi all. I've only seen this since IOS 11.1 and I don't know how this happens. Sometimes, my lock screen will just show the search field, tapping cancel does nothing. I can get this to go away only by turning off, then the phone back on again. Someone else had asked, I never got confirmation if this is a bug. I have search suggestions off with siri. Earlier versions of ios had this turned on and the search field never did show up. If anyone knows if this is a bug, please let me know. Hoping it's fixed in the next version.

Hi all. from my crazy posts of last night, you realize I have an iPhone five now. WhenI had the four, when I clicked the power button to end a call it would end the call and do the following. Screen locked, then enter the lock he screen twice to keep it locked. In other words, push to end, in the lock screen, tap button again to lock it. i thought this was my quirky device. It seems the new phone from last night does the same ting. I upgraded my device to a sixty four gb one, and they had one, left. So is itjust me or is anyone else's phone doing this?

Hello, dear companions. I would like to know why the Waze app was practically forgotten by the blind, including in this community? I say this because it is a fantastic application, it was acquired by Google and has numerous accessibility problems that should be discussed by this community and brought to the attention of Google for resolution. I can't understand why the interface is impossible for VoiceOver users. I also don't understand why the last post about this app here in the community was in 2010.

I added a gift card on my iPhone and the balance shows up in wallet and appstore on my phone, but it does not show up on my other devices. All of my devices use the same Apple ID.

Well: everyone knows that, with the launch of iOS 11, new Siri voices came to replace those used before iOS 10. These, however, did not disappear, at least in theory, they remained with new names, as can be seen in this excerpt taken from a post on the Applevis blog, written by Scott Davert, explaining the changes in terms of accessibility to the new system.

i'm not sure how siri helps you all yes it dose do some good things for me. but its a shame it can't be done without internet conection Like call some one if you already have peoples contacts listed in your phone.
for it to do a simple task like timing somthing or opening an app or typing text for an email or adding things to your reminders or colander you shouldn't need the internet.

Hi all. I noticed that since updating to the latest IOS, anything that does not use Voice over's voice, in my case Alex, I hear Fred. Apps that use this is ones like Identify, seeing AI and others. Is there any way to change that? I hate Fred with a fierce fiery passion.

I've seen a few people on AppleVis who are saying things that would imply that they feel no choice but to upgrade their devices to iOS 13, despite them feeling nervous about encountering the bugs that the AppleVis Editorial Team has helpfully compiled into lists for us.
In short, you don't have to update yet.
iOS 13.1, which will be released in a couple of days, still contains many bugs that VoiceOver users will experience, not to mention bugs in the operating system that you might encounter whether or not you use accessibility features.

I hope that this isn't a silly question, but does anyone know why my voiceover is reading punctuation and spacing in another English dialect? It has been since I upgraded to IOS 9.3. If anyone knows how to fix this I would really appreciate your help!

one can have rather granular configuration in settings > sounds, even different text tones for different persons, but no facetime specific tones, why? when someone calls, i want to know if the person is using FaceTime, so i don't inadvertently answer it when i am in a compromising position. this happened several times now i have to see what kind of call i'm getting before i answer it, even though the ringtone already tells me who is calling, this is not very productive.

The announcement yesterday about iPad OS sounds at least somewhat promising concerning making the iPad truly viable as a laptop replacement. At first, that got me kinda excited. Then, I started thinking about my motivation concerning why I would want to potentially replace my Macbook Pro with a iPad in the first place. That then then made me wonder about other people's motivations for wanting to do so.

I live in Silicon Valley, so I'm in a good position to test those apps that preport to contain thousands of wi-fi hot spots. I've tried four of them with huge databases. My results have been kind of disappointing.
Two of them actually require you have network access in order to look up other wi-fi hotspots. All four of them list the local Carl's Jr. restaurants as having wi-fi when they do not. I am so far underwhelmed with the convenience of these apps and the questionable accuracy of their databases.
One thing that is accurate however is the location information they obtain from my iPod.

I installed the batteries widget so I could monitor the charge of my iPhone 7's battery case, my iPhone, and Apple Watch. I'm noticing however that although the headings show after looking at any widgets on the today view of notification center, if you dismiss it, and then go back to the today view again by bringing the notification center back and swiping to see them, the widget headings show, but no information shows on the widgets. The only way I've fount to get them back is by hitting edit, and then done. It shows only once though, and the cycle repeats.
