hi to all, i have seen now both the 38 and 42 MM sports apple watch in a store. which do people find the easiest to use? i am totally blind so would be solely reliant on voiceover. can the small screen on a 38 MM make it difficult to use the watch just using gestures to find complications, do swipes etc? i liked the 42 but finds it "sticks" out if that makes sense, on my wrist. whereas in contrast the 38 mm seems very unobtrusive. how is battery life on a 38 MM watch?

I am working on an app that will announce the time every hour.
Thatâs all it will do. No more, no less. It will imitate the old talking watches hourly report feature.
But to make this work, I need you to record your voice for the watch!
I would like to support as many languages as possible.
To that end, I would like to ask you all to record audio files with yourself, reading:
Itâs 1 OâClock AM
Itâs 2 OâClock AM

In OS 6, chimes do not work. I turn on chimes, selected hour, bird. I tested with turning off taptic off but bird sound does not come up. I turn voiceover and heard no chime when it came to the hour. Using watch 3. Help.

Hey all,
I am trying to enable taptic time on my apple watch SE, but i can't get it to work. Here is what i ahve done so far:
confirmed it is on
turned on silent mode
confirmed that "speak time" is set to "control with silent mode"
After following these steps, i have tried to use the prescribed gestures, (2 finger double tap, or 2 finger tap and hold) to get the taptic time, but no luck.
I would appreciate any help people have to offer.

I've had this happen three times where my Apple Watch will not speak, at all. I've turned VoiceOver off and on. I've used the three-finger double-tap to turn speech off and on, and still nothing. Haptics are working, but absolutely no voice. I have the Apple Watch 8 and I think it's WatchOS9.2. I've had to unpair and pair it again all three times. VoiceOver volume says 100 percent and haptic volume is 100 percent.

For some reason, after I updated the watch to WATCHOS3.1.1 and the phone's alarm goes off, the watch's alarm does not. I've tried restarting both the phone and the Apple Watch. I have a first-generation apple watch. How can I fix this?

I have a student that I am teaching and his Apple Watch will not mute the ringer or alerts using the mute feature through control panel? he has also tried using the theater mode and mute mode together, still phone rings come through and message notifications come through And the ringtones as well come through. He needs this feature for meetings when he does not want the watch to ring or notifications to make any sound. for the time being Iâm going to recommend that he use do not disturb if we can locate this under the control panel. Can someone help?

hi all i am really enjoying my apple watch but hey siri the feature i was most hoping to use has some oddities, which i would like to share and hope others would join me, in reporting to accessibility at apple.
when you hold down the digital crown we feel a double tap on the wrist to tell us siri is ready so i can go text david woodbridge, thank you for the podcast. wait for the tap tap the screen and read. now lowering my arm is not sending the message only pressing the crown as a home button is this correct?

In December I upgraded from an Apple Watch series 2 to a series 7 GPS model.
Everything works fine appart from the fact that I am unable to get âHey Siriâ to work.
I know the watch has internet connectivity when out of range of my iPhone 12 Pro Max or when the iPhone is powered down as pressing the Digital Crown on the Watch Siri responds as you would expect. I can stream media too so the watch is definitely connected to the outside world.
I have checked in the Watch App and on the watch itself and âListen for hey Siriâ is enabled.

I was wondering if any here have found an app which can give a chime or sound every hour on the AppleWatch? I have found apps which can make the standard "ding" that the AppleWatch makes, but I would like a custom sound instead. Most of all I would like a "beep-beep" like on the old digital watches, but I'll settle for a sound other than what the watch makes on most other alerts. Hope somebody can help. Thanks in advance!

I have a new apple watch that has the waterlock.
I go to the workout app or whatever, the one native, and find pool swimming, though I cannot access it when I have activated waterlock. Does the watch automaticaly go to waterlock when I start the workout? I hear the four beeps, like a start signal, and assume the waterlock is on, but I am not sure. Because I think I need the waterlock on before even junmping into the water. Am I to press the crown and doc buttons to pause it because it seems to me that it starts instantly.

Back in February I got an Apple Watch series 3. I love the fact it keeps track of things like your heart rate, your movement, ETC. What I find extremely off is when I am standing, and when I am not. The watch things I stand over 12 hours a day, when in fact I am sitting. does anyone have this issue, and if so, have you found a way to fix this?
