Posted on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 by Darrell Hilliker

Introduction

The LG Tone Pro bluetooth headset is a solid contender for the ear space of anyone who is looking for comfortable wear, long battery life and respectable audio quality.

Description

The headset consists of a thick, C-shaped cable worn around the back of the neck, with a slightly thicker control unit on each side of the opening in front. Each control unit contains a button and a slide switch, with the power switch on the right-hand unit. A small magnet…

JBL Reflect Aware Sports Earphones

Posted on Thursday, August 25, 2016 by alex wallis

introduction
This is a review of the jbl reflect aware sports headphones which I received today from amazon.
The first thing to say is that I ordered these from amazon not through the jbl website itself this is because the site isn't very screen reader friendly and I got annoyed fighting with it trying to add them to my shopping cart.

So these are sports headphones I got these hoping that they would be more rugged that previous headphones I have owned which only seem…

Bose QuietComfort 35 Bluetooth headphones, Quiet is made more quieter!

Posted on Sunday, August 21, 2016 by VivekP

When one looks for a suitable pair of headphones; what does one look for in particular? Of course, the question is highly subjective, but one may come up with general criteria for suitable headphones. They should not be too highly priced, neither should they be too cheap (as we all know what happens to the average run-of-the-mill headphones). They should sound great, comfortable for long wear, preferably wireless but with reasonable battery life. They should surround us with quiet comfort so…

Zolt Laptop Charger Plus: Charge your laptop and 2 mobile devices simultaneously

Posted on Monday, May 9, 2016 by ray h

Tired of carrying multiple bulky chargers? Tired of bringing the wrong power brick?

The Zolt charger, voted a Consumer Electronics Product of the year, will solve this for you.

Rather than copying Zolt's info here, you can go to www.gozolt.com to read it all and to buy this great product.

But let me explain, the Zolt is about 3.5 inches long and just over an inch in diameter, but octagonal rather than round. On one end are flip-…

Sony MDR-ZX330BT Bluetooth On-Ear Headphones

Posted on Monday, April 4, 2016 by happykid96

the Sony mdr-z330bt bluetooth headphones are very good and easy to use. It has a 30 hour battery life, and really nice lows. On the left earpiece, there is nothing to interesting, but on the right, you get a lot of controls

Starting on the top, you get this 3 action button/slider. If you slide it down, this means next song, if you slide it up, then iTunes plays the previous song. If you press it, then it plays the song or answers a call. Yes, these headphones also have microphones…

Kingston Mobile lite wireless g3

Posted on Monday, March 28, 2016 by alex wallis

This is a review of the Kingston mobile lite wireless g3, this is a wireless card reader which can be used to backup and restore information from both ios and android devices, though Obviously I only have experience of use with ios.
So, to describe the device its about the size of a box of matches, very pocketable, it has only one button on it for turning it on and off, on the unit itself there is a slot for a card, it can take both standard and micro sd cards with an adapter included…

Apple Wireless Magic Keyboard

Posted on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 by molly

This is a review of Apple's wireless magic keyboard.
Let me start off by saying that this keyboard is probably one of the less expensive Apple products out their. it's $99, including tax.
The keyboard can be pared by turning on bluetooth on your mac or iOS device. On the top right of the keyboard is the on/off switch and to the left of that is the lightning port for charging the battery. On the four corners of the back of the keyboard are little pieces of rubber shaped…

The Powerqube Mini: charge many devices with a small cube.

Posted on Sunday, January 3, 2016 by Scott Davert

Over the past couple of years, I've had to do a fair amount of traveling for work, and I've also done quite a bit for pleasure. When you travel to more than 15 states a year, it's quite inevitable that you will stay in multiple hotels with multiple kinds of lay-outs. And as I work in a job where technology is one of my primary focuses, I have to take a lot of technology with me from place to place. Not only must I transport it, but I also must keep things either plugged in or…

The Trekz Titanium is the latest design by AfterShokz for an open ear bluetooth experience. The Trekz Titanium brings many of the features one enjoyed with their prior bone conduction headsets into a new package. I've recently seen some forum topics about the accessibility of some of the Fitbit devices. Here is a review from my blog. This is for the flex including the app. Enjoy.

Back when i was looking in to getting the apple watch, i hmmed and hawed about getting a fitbit. I figured i wouldn't as at the time, i wanted something that would tell me my pace and all, and not just my steps. However since i can use

The Smart Beetle from HIMS

Posted on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 by Scott Davert

The Smart Beetle is a 14-cell display manufactured by HIMS. If you need any sort of internal programs like a word processor, clock, calculator, or other bells and whistles, this is not the device for you. However, it supports the ability to connect to 6 different devices, and is natively supported in iOS 9 and El Capitan. Note that the 6 devices include 5 bluetooth and 1 USB.

What's in the Box?
Obviously, the Smart Beetle, a Micro USB cable for connecting to devices via USB…

The Refreshabraille 18 3rd Generation

Posted on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 by Scott Davert

The Refreshabraille 18, 3rd generation, is now available from APH. It's an 18-cell display which offers many connectivity options, the ability to flip the Refreshabraille to have the display closer to you instead of the keyboard, and the ability to connect in unsecure or secure mode via Bluetooth.
A Familiar Feeling Device:
For those who enjoyed the solid build of the previous models of the Refreshabraille, you will be happy to know that the keyboard and the material the…

The 1byone 3100mAh iPhone 6/6s Battery Charger Case

Posted on Friday, November 13, 2015 by Scott Davert

This case is designed to provide protection to your phone while also giving you a battery back-up for your phone in case it goes dead. As someone who is on a budget and who found that the Mophie iPhone 6 case was too snug of a fit for my phone, I was looking for something cheaper and that would also work better with my 6S. This, for the most part, fits the bill, but there are a few draw-backs that you should be aware of.

Description

The 1byeone case with…

MUSE, the Brain Sensing Headband

Posted on Sunday, August 30, 2015 by Chris Smart

This is a Bluetooth headset, but not the kind you are used to hearing about. Muse is the first lab-grade Electroencephalography (EEG) device for home use. A few years ago, such equipment cost many thousands of dollars, was invasive, and its use was always supervised by medical personnel. That is no longer the case!

Worn comfortably across the forehead and behind the ears, its censor array streams up to 6 channels of realtime brain wave data to your iOS device. This headband works…

LifeProof Case for iPhone 6

Posted on Sunday, August 9, 2015 by Jerry Berrier

I recently upgraded to an iPhone 6 with Verizon. I told the store representative I wanted to also upgrade my Otterbox Defender. I had tried a LifeProof case with a previous model and did not particularly like it. He was so insistent that vast improvements had been made that he finally talked me into paying $99.00 for the latest and greatest LifeProof case. This model allows direct contact with the front surface of the phone, which does make it easier to do Voiceover gestures. The case…

Jawbone ERA 2 BT Headset

Posted on Sunday, July 26, 2015 by John Cury

Let me start by saying I owned the original ERA and I loved it, it was the smallest BT headset at the time and it is still one of the smallest, but the new ERA 2 takes it to another level.

The headset comes in a really fancy box with 4 eargells, charging cable and a manual.

It has only 1 button and an on and off switch which is good or bad depending who you ask, I however love it.
To pair the device hold the talk button down while turning on ERA. Keep holding the talk…

Do you have a pulse? Are You sleeping? A review of the TCL Pulse

Posted on Friday, June 19, 2015 by Scott Davert

Introduction

Ever since the last significant drop in my hearing, I've found it more and more challenging to rely on said hearing to carry out such tasks as using a screen reader, knowing when water is boiling, and the topic of this review: waking up in the morning. As many of the adaptations made for the blind are addressed through the use of hearing, and many of the adaptations made for the deaf are done through vision, this complicates matters for someone…

Bem Wireless Speaker band: wear a speaker on your wrist

Posted on Friday, May 22, 2015 by Elena Brescacin

Bem Wireless Speaker Band was presented at CES 2014 in Las Vegas, this accessory is a wearable Bluetooth speaker.

It is a really useful gadget for blind people, as it does not force anyone to wear headphones while walking on the road, with the White cane in hand or holding dog's guide; you finally can have hands and ears free!

This speaker is square-shaped, made of plastic while the band is rubber made, it must be worn as a standard watch. At 3 o'clock hour, on the…
