Welcome to the November 2025 installment of AnonyMouse's App Pick of the Month. This month, my pick is Ramblio, an exciting new social audio app that’s quickly gaining traction within the blind and low-vision community.
If you’ve been around long enough to remember how popular Vorail and Clubhouse once were, Ramblio will feel pleasantly familiar. It…
Art of Fauna and Be My Eyes have been named among 45 finalists for Apple's 2025 App Store Awards. (Editor's Note: Be My Eyes is the parent company of AppleVis.)

The iPhone Air launched in September 2025 alongside the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max. It may not turn out to be the biggest seller of the four, but it is the most talked about. Apple have kindly loaned me an iPhone Air to review, and I’ve been using it full time for the past three weeks.
Unsurprisingly, the first thing that jumps out at you when you unbox this phone is how thin and light it is. But how does it perform, and is it worth considering ahead of the other…
Apple has today released macOS Tahoe 26.1, watchOS 26.1, tvOS 26.1, and HomePod Software 26.1 to the public.
As with iOS 26.1 and iPadOS 26.1, macOS Tahoe 26.1 adds a new "Tinted" option for Liquid Glass, which we believe may improve the legibility of visual elements that use that design language for some users. This setting can be found in System Settings > Appearance.
Our experience is that the following accessibility bugs have been resolved in macOS Tahoe 26.1:

Welcome to the October 2025 installment of AnonyMouse's App Pick of the Month. This month, my pick is EchoBox Player, a brand-new audio player for iOS that immediately caught my attention — not only because of what it does, but because of who created it.
EchoBox Player was developed by Oriol Gómez, a blind developer who has a strong track record…
We are excited to introduce a new beta feature on the AppleVis website and would like community feedback to shape its direction and potential implementation.
Many in the AppleVis community may already be familiar with InnoSearch, an online shopping platform designed with a focus on accessibility. InnoSearch's latest offering, CoBrowse AI, seeks to harness the power of conversational voice commands and artificial intelligence to help blind and…
Apple today updated the 14-inch MacBook Pro, iPad Pro, and Apple Vision Pro, introducing its first products with the new M5 chip, the next generation of Apple Silicon.
MacBook Pro
The 14-inch MacBook Pro has been updated with the new M5 chip, which delivers 3.5X better AI performance compared to M4 and 6X faster performance compared to M1, according to Apple's…
For 2025, Apple introduced 4 new iPhone models (not including the iPhone 16e, which I consider to have been from the previous generation). Each model offers something different: The iPhone 17 is the base model (for now, anyways), the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max are the mainline upgrade options, and the thinnest-iPhone-ever…

Like always, I was tempted by the great green fruit's autumnal offerings: the understated yet feature-packed iPhone 17, the muscular might of the iPhone 17 Pro, and its bigger slab of a brother, the supermodel-skinny iPhone Air... And yet, I was good, virtuous, some might say. Though, I couldn’t not buy anything—that’s just nuts.
So, on launch day I received a little box, and in that little box was another little box, and in that little box were two little earbuds... Surprise! It was…
Apple has today released macOS Tahoe 26.0.1, watchOS 26.0.2, and tvOS 26.0.1: bringing several fixes, including for an issue that prevented macOS Tahoe from being installed on the Mac Studio with M3 Ultra.
As macOS Tahoe 26.0.1, watchOS 26.0.2, and tvOS 26.0.1 were not distributed to external testers prior to their release, we do not have any information on whether they contain any accessibility fixes for blind, deaf blind, or low vision users at the time of writing. However, as…
Apple has today released iOS 26.0.1 and iPadOS 26.0.1; bringing several bug fixes, including for an issue that caused some users to lose VoiceOver speech either immediately after installing iOS 26 or upon a subsequent reboot of the device.
As iOS 26.0.1 and iPadOS 26.0.1 were not distributed to external testers prior to their release, we do not have any information on whether they contain any additional accessibility fixes for blind, def blind, or low vision users at the time of…
I am excited to introduce you to a new blog series, AnonyMouse's App Pick of the Month. Modeled after the AppleVis Editorial Team App Pick of the Month (a feature that ran in the early days of AppleVis), each month I will share a noteworthy new app or update.
This month, my pick is Home Quest - Idle Adventure, a game that has quietly become one of my favorite titles on…
It’s throwing no shade on Apple, quite the opposite arguably, when I say that iPhones just don’t get that much better year on year anymore. They’ve reached a really high level, and so can last even the most nerdy among us, a very long time.
As regular visitors to AppleVis may have read, I have been mulling over the idea of purchasing the iPhone Air of late. Funnily enough, this took even me by surprise as all year I have been absolutely determined that I do not need, or even want, a…
Apple released its 2025 iPhones today. I was able to preorder an iPhone 17 Pro Max, and have spent the last couple hours setting it up. While the selling point of the iPhone 17 Pro Max was the increased battery life (something I obviously have not been able to test yet), I found myself surprised and impressed in other ways.
This year, Apple redesigned the Pro iPhones. The frame of the phone is made from a single piece of aluminum, giving the phone a singular, cohesive feel in the…

Apple has today released tvOS 26 to the public.
Our team was unfortunately unable to test tvOS 26 during the beta cycle, and thus we do not have any information as to whether this release contains any improvements or regressions for VoiceOver, braille, or low vision accessibility. We are starting this post in hopes that it will serve as a place for the community to share and discuss any and all information related to the tvOS 26 release.
