Occasionally, when I do a double tap on a button to activate it with Voice Over, it will make the VO double tap sound but nothing will happen. If I go to another app and switch back to the current app, it fixes the problem. Does anyone know what may be causing this and how to stop it from happening? I believe it started about 6 months to a year ago. I'm not sure if it happened with IOS 11 or not. It isn't a big deal but it is mildly annoying. I am using an iPhone 6S, running IOS 12.3.

Hi everyone, I hope you're all doing well and staying safe. Currently, I have an iPhone 15 Pro running the latest version of iOS 26. I know that in text fields, when you bring up the keyboard, you can double-tap with two fingers and dictation will automatically start. For some reason, this has stopped working for me in the latest version of iOS 26. Also, I have found the location of my dictation button has changed its position in the keyboard across some apps.

I've been an iPhone user for less than 2 weeks. One of the first things I read is that you can double-tap the Power/Lock button to end a call. I know we're able to do a two-finger double-tap to end calls, and that works for me most of the time. But ending a call with the Power button has me intrigued, because I've tried it several times and wasn't able to get it to work.

Is there a way to have an icon on the home screen that automatically starts a timer that you have preset, then pops up an alert or one of those messages that doesn't interrupt and tells you that time is up, or possibly also speaks a preset message?

I commented on another conversation about how the one finger double tap and the two finger double tap for starting/stopping dictation is not consistent. Usually in the native mail app or the text messages app, using IOS 16 for the past 1.5 months on an iPhone 13. If I use the one finger double tap on the dictation button at the bottom right hand corner of the screen, sometimes a one finger double tap will stop dictation. Yet other times a two finger double tap, the magic tap, will stop dictation. Once I am reviewing the text that I have just dictated, 95% of the time the text is double.

Is there a gesture in VoiceOver that will allow you to jump down one row directly below where your focus is at a given moment? For instance, if you are in Vine and wanting to scroll down the right side of the Find Friends screen through the Follow/Unfollow buttons on the right side of the screen without reading through each name on the left side of the screen beforehand, is there a way in VO to do that?

I have just subscribed to the paid Kim Komandow Show podcast. No difficulty subscribing using IE11 on my pc. However, when I subscribe using downcast on my iPhone iOS 8.3, the episodes show up properly.Unfortunately, I cannot play an episode. I get the message "preparing in progress". I was only asked once whether I wanted to download or stream. I thought this might be a timing issue, but I have certainly given enough time for a download or buffering stream. Any Suggestions would be appreciated.

Anyone else having issues with the Downcast app after updating to iOS 10? Downcast has a note at the bottom of the screen saying I have 35 podcasts that I've subscribed to. However, only a few show up. Don't really want to delete the app and re-download it since I would have to go find all the podcasts again.
Thinking about switching to Overcast. Thoughts, suggestions?

hi all, i am now evaluating downcast and overcast, on my iphone 7. when tried downcast 2 years ago i liked it sounds it made to indicate events. which do people find the better of the 2, downast, or overcast and i like streaming podcasts not decissarily downloading them at all times.

I would like to be able to download a small chunk of podcasts instead of just one at a time or the entire series of podcasts . I just wanted to download a couple of them for off-line use as I travel quite frequently . It was a little inconvenient for one at a time and to download the entire series of podcasts is a bit much as many of the series of podcasts go up into near thousands . Is there a way to do this easily? Or is that A option that I have not discovered yet if this is possible could someone tell me how to do it or tell me a workaroundthanks

I've come across some podcast links on websites that point to the iTunes store, rather than give you an ordinary RSS feed. I know there are two popular podcast apps for iOS, DownCast and iCatcher, but I'm not sure which one is the best to go for. I thought I read that DownCast really drains the device's battery, but I wonder if that's been improved if that's indeed the case? Basically, I'm wondering which app you would recommend? Alternatively, is there a way I can get an RSS feed address from one of these iTunes links?

I've used Downcast as my podcatcher of choice since last summer, but I've also found that overcast would be a good alternative. Why should I consider Overcast over Downcast? The only thing I've heard so far is that speeding up podcast playback is much better in Overcast, but are there any other benefits? Best regards Thomas

I use Note Master as my note taking app of choice. It worked great until this last update. Now, VoiceOver is reading things that aren’t visible on the screen and it is confusing and frustrating to use. Does anyone know if there is a way I can downgrade to the previous version?

Some of you may recall me posting a day or so back on my finding a few bugs in IOS11. As a result I decided to downgrade to IOS10.3 till the bugs are fixed.
For those interested I was able to downgrade my iPhone back to version 10.3. The process was easy using iTunes. It can be done with JFW or NVDA.

I can see that really taking a toll on the performance of this device
Is there a way to download iOS 14, 13, 12, 11, 10, or even iOS 9? Because even on a really fast Wi-Fi network, it takes between 5 to 30 seconds did you get to the place where I can install an application. Everything takes a really long time to load, including the App Store, until it just gives me a contact iTunes screen so I have to go back to double tap on such again
