Based on discussions I have seen in another thread, there appears to be a misconception floating around that the dynamic island feature in the new iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max is not accessible with VoiceOver. This is not correct, and I am making this post to clear things up. Please note I did already respond in the other thread, but as my comment is quite a ways down, I figured it would be beneficial to have this here.
Note that I am running iOS 16.0.1, the latest public release of the software for the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.

Does anyone know if there are any other e-book apps that work with VoiceOver? iBooks is great but other e-book apps would also give more content. I've been told that Stanza works with VoiceOver but is this correct? The Read2Go app also looks good but I don't want to spend Β£14 if it doesn't provide me with a reasonable level of content as a UK blind Apple device user, even if I spend the 125 dollars to become a member of Book Share.
HI all. Before I ask my questions regarding mail and downloads on the IPhone5s, first a bit of background. I'm staying with my mom. I'm unemployed for health reasons, therefore my mom is looking after me. Up till now we made use of a land line and ADSl service provider. but my mom lost her work a week ago so we have to cut down on expenses. WE have to find out what the cheapest wireless internet will be. One option is to use my IPHone for everything: browsing the web, downloading and e-mail but before I go that route I just want to make sure of 2 things.
When I try to email someone, I only see how to email them from one address. I want to email someone at work, instead of at their home email address. How do I do that? I'm using iOS on iPhone 5S.
Hi,
I am facing problem while writing and replying e-mails with Voice over. Whenever, I've tried to write any e-mail or reply to anyone my focus is lost and the text written on the other part of message body, means its writing sequence braked. I want to know how I can handle focus line by line while writing or replying e-mail ? Also, When I've finished write text I want to know how I can read it before sending ?
Help will be highly appreciated.
Thanks.
Lovely app. Has anyone tried it? It reads all the newspapers using its own TTS and is really accessible. No Greek papers yet but Greeks are famous for their patience, are we not?
Congratulations to whoever made this little miracle possible.
Hi folks! I'm debating whether I should get an iPhone 14 Pro in order to take advantage of Door Detection and Object Detection. I have heard just one demonstration of Door Detection in a recent podcast, where Jonathan Mosen walked around his house using Door and Object Detection on his iPhone 13 Pro Max, as the iPhone 14 Pro wasn't out at the time of the recording.
I'm wondering about how easy it is for a totally blind person to add an identification card to the Apple Wallet. I'm assuming it has to be lined up exactly in a frame and right side up on the, screen, then the iPhone takes a picture. Just part of considering whether I should or should not put ID on my iPhone, and whether it is even possible on my own.
I'm not having luck with searching for this on the forum or Google, though I'm sure there have been threads, and perhaps it has also changed with new updates to iOS.
Hi, wondering does anyone know of an easy to use calculator on ios?
my issue I have with the one built into ios and the talking one I have tried is the keypad layout, I am sure visually it makes sense but with voiceOver layouts look a mess as you have the numbers all kind of jumbled up mixed up with the symbols for performing calculations, which makes putting in numbers slow and time consuming when flicking around the screen.
what I want is a calculator where you have all the numbers grouped together like on the phone keypad with all the symbols also grouped together.
I have many many WMA-formatted music files. Without using Itunes, is there a way to import them into my iPhone 6S? Also, what would be an accessible, simmple music player that plays WMA files?
Hello,
I used to be able to quickly access my favourite contacts which were placed on the top of the app switcher screen.
With iOS 9 they are not there any more. I can call anyone I like using Siri when I have good signal strength, but if I have a poor data connection or Siri isnt working I want to be able to get to favourite contacts like my family quickly using just voiceover gestures.
I am looking for an easy and accessible video to audio converter that works on an iPhone 8. I am using IOS 12.4.1 with VoiceOver and a Focus 14 5th generation braille display. Can someone also a how to convert those videos step-by-step? Thanks!
Does anyone know an easy to use Looper for Guitar recording and an easy to use metronom?
On iPhone I use Sound Brenner as a metronom but on iPad it doesn't seem to be as easy to use as on iPhone.
Thanks and all the best

I am using a bluetooth keyboard to my iPad. I wonder if there is a way to search through emojis, for example if I want a pile of smiling poop and can just search for it rather than browsing through every single emoji?
I am using a bluetooth keyboard and can also use the touch screen kayboards. I know there is an easy way to do this in messages but is there an easy way to find emojis in other apps? Like if I want to write something in my diary wich is a text field and I want to put for example the poop emoji, wich is what I use for a lot of things, is there a quick way for me to find it?
