iOS and iPadOS

I have found the app pretty accessible as it is, so I'm looking forward to trying the update. I'm actually a Comcast employee and I must say I'm proud of the focus our company has put on accessibility. Now you guys know who to hunt down if you're having cable issues, lol. On a side note, I've been working for them for over a decade and they've always been fantastic about job accommodations and inclusion. I've got my local IT guys thoroughly trained on NVDA and ZoomText, haha

Hi

Have anyone here in this forum tried the app and the music streamer from the company called Primare, and can tel if the app is accessible with VoiceOver?

At the time i write you I have downloaded the app from the AppStore, but since I not have a device from Primare, I only can see that the app try to find a device on my wireless network. Before I purtchase a music streamer from Primare I try to find information about the accessibility with VoiceOver.

Thanks in advance for your answer.

Regards,
Anders.

There appears to be a massive accessibility issue with the Yelp iOS app in conjunction with Voiceover. It's not at all possible to go beyond the various tabs, "search", "Nearby", "more", and so forth. even trying to find places with the app is an impossibility. Frankly, I don't know why I even have the app on my phone as it currently exists.

Hi all, not sure if this issue has been raised before...
I'm using iOS 14.2, and I found out that there are major accessibility issues in the latest version of Telegram.
Namely, VoiceOver won't read anything in the settings page, as well as the buttons on the bottom after double-tapping on the edit button in the chats list.
Anyone experiencing this issue? Is it an iOS 14 bug, or a Telegram bug?

Hi all,

I use the OverDrive app on my iPhone with voiceover to read e-books from my local library. As has been documented in another thread on here, the app does not remember your place within the chapter, if you stop reading one part way through, and I am also unable to change chapters unless I use the percentage slider, which is cumbersome and frustrating.

Hi. Has anyone used Sideline? Well, I have problems using Sideline. I can't read the previous text messages in a conversation. Some buttons are not labeled properly. For example, in a conversation, the phone button calls the person. It should say, "Call (xxx) xxx-xxxx)." Have you experienced any other issues with the Sideline app?

I've been reporting to Apple for a long time this problem in Spanish but I think Apple have no people that understand in Accessibility Eria.
My English is not the best but I am here because this is a powerful forum. When Apple Music comes true in iOS 8.4, they are context menu to make actions with voiceover, Fully king up and down, We could play albums, download songs, etc..
in iOS 13 It is really complicated and slow to use it

I have discovered a Bible app that I was looking forward to having, but it unfortunately is completely inaccessible. I'm surprised at this and would love to know what makes this app inaccessible so that I can possibly write to the developer and others who desire this app can do the same. It is the cbn Bible app.. The Christian broadcasting network has made this app and also radio apps that have great content. When I open the app, it only says "cbn Bible", and then says nothing else.

I'm disappointed with the lack of accessibility in the my verizon app. Verizon claims under their accessibility page that they make every effort to make all of their products and services accessible to those with disabilities. I mainly go online to the website to do what I need to do anyways but there are features you can only access from the app. For example the verizon up rewards can only be accessed through the app. In the latest versions I can no longer access my available rewards. I feel as a customer I have the right just as anyone else to access and use my rewards.

hello,

Last week Apple Fitness+ arrived in Spain but with subtitles. I would like to ask my English-speaking friends how is the accessibility of the workouts, is it easy to follow with just the trainers' descriptions, is it easy to understand the exercises?

Thanks

Hello,

I have an acquaintance who is beginning to experience speech problems, and would benefit from an app where she could type, and have her entered text spoken. However, I was wondering if others have found apps in this category to be accessible. I don't really know where to start with this one.

Any suggestions or experiences would be appreciated.

I asked about this a while back, but I am guessing nobody in the community had any experience with Ultraviolet digital copies. AFAIK, the only two apps for redeeming and playing these digital copies are Flixter and Vudu. One or both of those also offer a service where one can insert one's movie in the DVD or Blu-ray drive and purchase a digital copy for a small fee. The question is whether or not the iOS versions of these apps are accessible.

Is anyone using the most recent version of the Belkin WeMo app to remotely control items in your home. The app was updated September 17. I'e found the instructions for setting up the app to be inaccessible. My goal is to use the app with the Belkin Crockpot. Thanks in advance for any assistance that is provided.

I have felt it necessary to contact the developers of this app as I feel accessibility issues for VoiceOver users have deteriorated since the recent update. Examples are: unclearly labelled buttons; difficulties in getting the map to refresh to your current location to display nearby bus stops; and activating a control from within the app when advised to swipe to select a certain type of bus stop. I have sorted a temporary work around for locating bus stops on the map. On one of the mentioned unclearly labelled buttons, there is an edit search box.

Hey all. Has anyone attempted to use the app close5? It is an app that allows people to buy and sell things locally. I wrote to the support team to ask if that app could be made more accessible for the blind. This was about a month ago, and I was told it would be looked in to. Yesterday, I wrote to check on the progress, and I got the following response. I understand they are a new company, but we as a group need to show them that we deserve to have access to the app as well.

Hello. Hope all is well. I am curious about this app called Club House. One of my friends sent me an invite.
How accessible is the app? How well does it work with Voiceover? IS there a way to contact the developer for feedback?

Thank you so much
